    Filed two code safety violations with the city of Palatine fire Marshal over flooring issues. Two citations where issued with only partial flooring was fixed. Whole units foundation is sinking in the center with several complaints made and no resolution. Frozen pipes in the winter due to the crack and foundation issues. Showers not properly ventilation causing black mold and wrong paint used causing yellow drainage and staining. Wanting leasing contract voided for last month and be free of any financial expenses or burden for *** and be let out month early of lease without penalty.

    An application was submitted on 3/23/2024 and they charged 450$ and promised to have an answer of approval or denial by 3/27/2024. It is now 4/3/2024 and they have still not gotten back to me with a response and deny all calls and emails I make to them. If I was denied they promised the application fee was to be returned to me and they are still holding my 450$ payment and have not returned it or have communicated ANYTHING since I submitted the application almost 2 weeks ago.

    First off, I apologize as this is the second time I submitted this info. I may have included the wrong contact info on my behalf so I'm not sure if you reached out to me before. I think I first filed this November 16th and it is still unresolved.On September 14th, 2023, I applied for an apartment at Albion on Lake Cook Apartments and paid the $75.00 application fee, in addition to the $300.00 application deposit. On September 16th, I received notification that my application was declined, indicating that I did not qualify for the apartment. While I acknowledge that the $75.00 application fee is non-refundable, my concern lies with the $300.00 application deposit. Upon inquiry, leasing agents assured me that the deposit would be refunded within ***** days. As of November 16, 2023, 61 days had elapsed, and I have not been contacted by the rental agency or received my refund. Despite numerous calls and discussions with various agents, the response has consistently been a reiteration of the ***** day waiting period. Interestingly, the document I signed clearly states a refund timeline of **** days. Despite this inconsistency, I extended the benefit of the doubt and patiently waited the entire 60 days. At this juncture, $300.00 holds significant value for me as I navigate a crucial point in my life. With two young boys and a newborn baby girl, the funds are vital for continuing my apartment search. While I have attempted to exercise patience, the delay has reached a point where I am at my **** end. I kindly request assistance in expediting the refund process, allowing me to move forward with my life. Any support you can provide in this matter would be immensely appreciated by me and my family. Sincerely, ***** P.S. I am more than willing to provide documentation to validate the aforementioned dates if required.
