    6/23/2025 - Planned on bidding on a salvaged Toyota Highlander. Someone at Copart increased the auction time on the day it was supposed to go live by 5 additional days because the live auction starting price was not what they wanted. This was done to increase the starting price of the vehicle and is not why people use these services. People shop for salvage vehicles because statistically values are 50% or less. Copart will squeeze every nickel out of you they can even if it means manipulating time structures, prices, and bids. Shop elsewhere if your looking for a fair condition to value. No car being sold as salvage should be over 50% clean retail, yet Copart will try every sales tactic possible to manipulate the end result to ensure it goes well over 50%. Additionally, Copart also provides their own assessed value on the vehicle which is unclear, biased and should not be trusted. Imagine that I'm selling my home and I tell you what its worth? Would you still buy it for that price? Watch out everyone and definitely use another service provider.
