    I went to Midas to have a diagnostic test done because my temperature gauge was still reading hot I'm not a certified mechanic that's why I took my truck to them to have the test done I took a picture before I went there which is time stamped and right before I left I took a picture of my dash I went back in and told the lady that my gauges are even more messed up now than what they was before so now every gauge which is my dash cluster is messed up I called Midas filed a complaint through their headquarters the guy offered me $65 back which was the cost of the diagnostic test and I told them I did not want that I want them to repair and replace any and all damages because my pictures are time stamps they do not lie as the date of the diagnostic test when it was done the lady at the desk tried to tell me well he put in the notes the talking about the mechanic that your dash cluster was already like that when you brought it in I told her I'm sorry I have proof that it was not and again they offered me only $65 because they made he told me the guy that called me said that they made a mistake and again I do not want the $65 I want them to pay for the full cost of a new dash cluster since they revved it my truck and destroyed every gauge that's in there on my dash cluster they gave me a piece of paper with my repair order notes there is nothing even in either one of those boxes to replace it and repair it they want to charge me $2,326.98 I believe they should have to pay for any and all damages to the cluster and beyond if that's there is any other issues with my truck due to the cause of them messing up my dash cluster all together my repair order number that they gave me was ******* which is also my invoice number that I paid for the $65 for the diagnostic test to be done that was all completed on April 30th 2025 then voice was printed out at 10:38 a.m. and give it to me and the repair order was printed out and given to me at 10:30 a.m.

    Took my 2011 Grand Cherokee Jeep in for a previously diagnosed supposed broken motor mount, making noise when excellarating the gas pedal. On 11/05/2024. Dropped off at 8 am. Was told 2 to 3 hour job told by owners wife. Called to see why not done wife of owner said having problems was then completed and picked up at 3:22pm. Drove home parked it in garage didn't drive it again till week of 11/11/24 still making the noise, metal hitting noise under jeep called made appt for 11/18/2024 as it was under a warranty. At that time I took in ask the repair guy to get in jeep so I could let him hear the noise .
    He didn't want to cause it was raining. He wanted just to put it on the lift, I told him you have to drive to hear the noise.
    He heard then pulled garage I watched walk around to wear the motor mound was replaced then to the back of jeep then he went to the owners who is at the front desk
    whispers to her. I said excuse me what is wrong with my jeep. He then diagnosed with needing to remove and replace the front propeller shift assembly at $951.56.
    I promptly told they misdiagnosed my jeep the first time. I told them I would let them know. I then took my jeep to ***** ********** in So Pekin he said showed a broken mount on the transmission you could pull it up and down and said nothing was wrong with the drive shift. We paid him $156 to fix the mount on transmission. I talked to owners wife said I thought they should at give me back half my money as they diagnosed wrong twice she said they would and that her *** was on vacation and he is the boss . So he was back on Mon 11/25/24 so I called he was polite said they diagnosed right and will refund even half. I am 78 years old retired and on a fixed income, I feel like I have scammed by these people, if they can't admit they made a mistake and be honest they should not be in business.

    I ***** *****, took my 2017 Ford fusion 1.5 L turbo charged into Midas because my car was making
    a noise in the front passenger side. When I originally made the appointment, I asked Midas to
    check my transmission fluid because I was talking to somebody at the auto parts store about my
    fluids, and he pointed out I couldn't check the transmission fluid myself, because it needed a
    special tool that only licensed shop mechanics possess. So I figured since the car was getting
    inspected have them check the transmission fluid too.
    Service requests state: check transmission fluid. Customer hears noise when driving straight and
    accelerating, but not when turning from right side.
    Service recommended to customer:
    Wheel Allignment.
    Technician service description listed: transmission fluid exchange, remove and replace alternator
    assembly, tire mountain balance, etc.
    They verbally suggested to me that I do a transmission flush, because my fluid was dark. ***** told
    me it would extend the life of my transmission. I don't really know whole lot about that type of stuff
    so I agreed to it because she made it sound like it was gonna help my car. They scheduled an
    appointment the following Tuesday at 11 AM. My alternator went out shortly after the appointment
    so I didn't end up going back to Midas until March 25, 2024, due to alternator going out, making up
    work hours and having the time to get to the appointment.
    b The first red flag is on the very first receipt if you notice at the bottom, it says Tuesday 11 AM
    transmission flush. So I wrote down the procedure, and appointment on the receipt becaue I didn't
    have my calendar with me. I didn't realize at first, but they put it on my receipt as transmission fluid
    exchange. That is a completely different procedure. At the time, I didn't know anything about that.

    Our response to this matter is that the only services we performed on this vehicle was on 3/25/2024 and it was a transmission fluid exchange which was done at the customer's request.  As you can see on the invoice this customer sent in, the reason for replacement was to meet customer's request or convenience.  This service was done by us and was done at 145,594 miles.  As you can see the only other paid invoice was done on 10/1/24 at ********** **** ****** where they say the fluid is now black and full of metal particles.  The invoice from ********** **** ****** shows the mileage at 165,093 which is about 20,000 miles after we performed the transmission fluid exchange at the customer's request.  This vehicle is also used for commercial use and the customer states that in their paperwork.  We will not be replacing the transmission for this customer as the fluid exchange was done at their request and nothing was done wrong on our part.  If you have any questions you can call *** at ***** ******** and press * ** *.  Thank you.
