      On October 7, 2024
      Entered into 2 contracts for two different properties after accepting an estimate quoted by their employee and a request for a down payment by them. No work done, but down payment checks were cashed.

      1. Stain the deck they had built for us previously,
      2. Install ***** and install new siding for the detached garage
      --total Estimate was $8,785.00
      I paid one check dated 10/28/24 as a down payment in the amount of $4,000.00

      Work to be done:
      Power wash the front porch &
      Install one coat of paint on the front porch floor to match the house color.
      Estimate was quoted as $2,950.00 for the painting and prep of the front porch
      I paid them 1 check for the down payment in the Amount of $1,000.00
      dated 10/28/24 (they cashed this check on 10/31/24)

      For *** ****** ** property, I was told they would get the deck stained before winter, and I was also told that as soon as they got the siding ordered and it arrived they would schedule the garage work.
      For *** ********* property, I was assured that they would have the porch prepped and painted before winter.
      Time passed by and I never heard from them, we called several times, and finally a person named AL came out and went over all the original bid and checked out the properties and said they would order the siding and be in touch.
      SINCE THEN, I have not heard anything from this company !! I have called repeatedly and have gotten no call back from anyone in their company. The person who answers the phone, Ashley
      always answers and gives the same message, "she will let them know we called and they will call us back. She gives the names of ***** or **** that will be calling us."
      WE HAVE NOT BEEN CALLED BY ANYONE FROM EKHOFF as to the status of our contracts with them nor received any correspondence regarding completing the work we contracted with them last fall.

      We acknowledge the following: On October 7, 2024, we entered into two separate contracts for the work on *** ****** **, and *** ********* in ***********.  An amount of $4,000 and $1,000 was paid as a downpayment on October 28th. Which was used strictly for material costs. We disclaim that we stated the job would be installed and completed before winter. This was due to the fact that the paint and stain could only be completed during warmer months. Which was stated several times. We acknowledge that Al did go the above address and enter in discussions with Mrs. ******** which at that time it was brought up that the material being used wasn't what was expected all though there was a signed contract for said product. After ** spoke with the original sales rep and informed him of the confusion with customers understanding of the product. There were multiple attempts made to contact customer. As of now we have been in communication with the customer and are scheduled to complete the scope of work for both properties.

      Desired outcome: Complete the job as per contract and have the complaint removed.
