    On March 4th I contacted Insane Inks owner **** *** for a consult on a tattoo/cover up I was wanting. I messaged him via **. I sent **** photos of what I had going on, and photos of what I was wanting, in general. He then said that it would be no problem and he required payment/deposit ahead of time, since spots are filling up etc. I didn't think anything of it and preceded that same day to go into the shop to pay and schedule the appointment. I went in he said he could take care of it, took my cash payment, checked the schedule, and put me in for 03/14/25 at 12 pm. He did not have me sign anything nor did he explain anything. On 3/14/25 I arrived at Insane Ink at 11:30 (30 min early). **** stated he was busy still and would need additional time, to come back at 2:30 and the day would be for my tattoo. I went back at 1:30, and **** stopped tattooing that same client to meet me at the counter. **** then preceded to explain that while on break he scratched and irritated his eye. He asked if we could reschedule, even as early as tomorrow. I politely asked for a refund, he got defensive about his eye, debated with me and refused to pay me my cash back. He pointed to a generic sign stating no deposit refunds which was never noted, noticed, or pointed out before. I stated I didn't want to reschedule where he restated that it was either tattoo reschedule tomorrow 03/15/25 or no refund. I proceeded to then call the police, went and spoke to an officer and I let **** *** know that I would be doing so. I have multiple witnesses and messages between **** and I about coming in and the tattoos etc. He even had me cancel an appointment at another shop because he insisted he would do it. I just wanted my money back, I am unable to reschedule there is a reason why that specific day worked for me and I wanted it; as well as paid for it. So, i'm receiving no services and no refund.
