Awful. Charged me over 200 dollars for a pair of reading glasses that I could have purchased ar walgreens for 10 dollars. Didn't explain to me about pricing or what I needed. Can't even use them.

When this patient was seen in July 2024, our doctor recommended progressive lenses, which was what this patient had been wearing. This patient returned on October 2, 2024, to order glasses. She purchased a frame and a lined bifocal instead of progressives. She picked up the glasses on October 10, 2024. She brought them back a few days later complaining that she was having trouble adjusting to the lined bifocal.  We offered to upgrade her to the progressive lenses she was used to, but she refused and instead said she wanted single vision reading glasses.  We followed the patient's instructions and remade the lenses as single vision reading glasses.  It is unfortunate this patient is upset, but we provided exactly what she requested.

My mom is an elderly woman on state insurance. As she didn't know some part of her insurance didn't cover some of the bifocal she needed my debit card to pay for the rest. She asked for her rx and the lady refused to give it. After my sister thankfully was awake as I'm overnights and couldn't be... she told the place I was asleep and couldn't pay at the time needed her rx. After telling my mom then sister they refuse to give it if you buy from elsewhere is what they stated for the rx.
That is against federal trade practices and I'm reporting them also to state insurance as this is arm wrestling people into buying specific from them.

The federal law requires eyecare practices to provide copies of the prescription after payment has been made.  We also do not utilize pressure sales.  Instead, we educate our patients on their options and provide the products the patients request.
