      We took our son into a unity point urgent care for flu symptoms. I am active duty military and my family has tricare. We received a bill for his care with a share owed by us. This is not typical for my insurance so I called ******* and they told me it was coded incorrectly and we shouldn't owe anything for the visit. ******* then called unity point billing with me on the line and they both agreed to put in a request to recode the visit but it would take a few months. They then agreed to freeze the amount owed until the visit was recoded. Today I received a bill saying that the bill went to collections. I called unity point billing, transferred to central billing and spoke with ******* ** (Reference number ** **********) and was told that the notes showed a conversation with my insurance on August 1. The notes said that the insurance company was going to reprocess then request a freeze but after talking to my insurance again, they assured me that's now how the recoding works. I am not stuck with a bill in collections because unity point billing did not follow the agreement made on August 1 to recode the bill and put the hold on the payment. Reference number from collections is ********

      My account which has a balance of $95.94 is not available to be paid online. Unitypoint did not bill me for the balance and it has been a year. I tried to make a payment online and am told to pay the collection agency! I am not making payment with a business I am not associated wirh, nor do I wish to deal with collection agency when I was not billed.
