Do Not Use This Company For Repairs! (Svc date 4/21/25)
Sewage backed into my downstairs bathroom 4/21. Calling Roto Rooter was a mistake. When the supervisor technician Josh came out to my home, one of the first questions he asked was if I live alone. It has been a series of lies and coverups by the Roto Rooter team. I noticed after the initial work was done, some of my deceased son's items were missing: drop cords, tools and leaf blower. Items that remained in my garage were damaged. It doesn't appear the Roto Rooter team placed any tarps to protect my items as they were in standing water. After the 3rd day of working in my garage, Josh informed us the team was done. I used my sink and discovered water flowed into the garage floor which indicated the pipe was not closed. Josh didn't even bother to check the work done by his team. We had to make a second call to get the pipe closed. I requested a different team. I was without water for 4 days, and it took 6 weeks to get the job complete. Roto Rooter immediately started calling for payment; however we didn’t receive an invoice 30 days after the service call. From the first service call, we have received nothing but contradictory information from Josh and Brent. They dug up part of my garage floor and driveway. They filled the hole in my garage sloppily with quick cement and filled the portion of driveway they opened with rocks. They said they'll be back December 2025 to review the driveway. I now have cracks across my driveway from the job that was done by Roto Rooter. The team (Josh and Brent) told lies, tried to hide information from me and S**** ****. They told S**** **** claim handler he needed permission from in order to send him the mitigation report; however when we called Roto Rooter they finally admitted there was no mitigation report. This company takes advantage of customers, does unnecessary work in order to get a big payout. A simple job ended up costing me thousands of dollars.

This company is a joke. They use deceptive business practices, lie, employees steal and come to the job while they've been drinking, don't show up when promised, are unprofessional, and do very poor quality work. We had a sewer back up in the basement and from the first night it was a nightmare. Nothing about the clean out/tear out job was done as we were told it would be. Two weeks later and there is still sewage in the basement, where they supposedly cleaned. They half tore down a shelf and left it hanging on the wall and busted some plumbing while taking out the shower, and tried to say it was already broken. They threw away stuff that was not affected and kept items that had been soaked in sewage water. The job "lead" Jaimin, showed up and reeked of alcohol. He didn't have tools needed to tear out the shower so he borrowed some of mine and never gave them back. The experience with excavating outside was just as bad. We had to have a piece of sewer pipe replaced. The "lead" Brent told us where the pipe was and started digging...14 feet down and no sewer pipe. I got 2 different sewer maps from the city and gave them, and then they dug another trench in the wrong spot. Trench #3 and we finally had success. They didn't even try to make our yard look decent filling the trenches they made. Our yard is so tore up. They took out big chunks of the street at the curb and end of our driveway being careless with their equipment. They also didn't fill in dirt that they took out from under our porch slab. The cleanout pipe sticking out of our yard is crooked. We paid for a certain back flow valve to be installed outside, while they were replacing the pipe. Instead they installed a different valve in our basement. When we complained, we were told the city inspector told them that city code said it had to be installed inside. There was never a conversation had about the valve with the inspector and city code does NOT say that the valve should be installed inside.

I was lied to, told I needed work I didn't need, and charged a cost that I paid a professional plumber on A***** **** for advice, and he said the cost was "absurd." (His word). They forged my signature and stole from me, too.
As a 71-year-old widow in a nice home, I think they saw me as "an easy mark."
I wanted my sewer rooted out for $120. That was $270, then they said I needed extensive work for $12,000 that would take 2 full days: and I would have no toilets or water until then..,that was all a LIE. There was nothing stuck in my sewer at all, and the toilet worked fine without it. They tore up my hard & left in 3 1/2 hours!
They trashed my yard and left a total mess! and stole bushes and plants that I told them I wanted to keep (probably planted in their yard)!
When I was told to ask for a video to prove it, they disappeared!
    Sincerely,
    J. V****
