      I am a co signer on a loan with community lenders in **** **. Today Nov. 25, 2024, I received an alert where I had a new hard credit pull from community lenders. I have not authorized any new inquiries so I called thier office at 1604 central time, to try and get some answers, well I found out the person I signed for allowed the account to become delinquent and while I acknowledge I will be responsible for resolving that, I was also informed by a representative "Brie" that they did in fact pull my credit, because the account is delinquent. "That's what we do when we cannot reach anyone on the account and it becomes delinquent " which is absolutely unacceptable. If it's late then you can report it as late to the reporting agencies, you still are not authorized to do a hard credit inquiry because it's late. This is retaliatory in every way and I will be looking in to a lawyer and filling a report of fraud with both the government and all three credit reporting agencies. I fully support the use of proper channels to report credit worthiness, but lending companies can't just decide to do a hard credit pull without your consent.
