Dropped off thousands of dollars worth of brand new engine parts and an engine block, to be machined and assembled. The shop screwed up and machined the cylinder bores of the brand new engine block too big and then blamed my piston rings for being the wrong size. After talking with my parts supplier, I was told that there must be an issue with the cylinder bores being too big because the rings were absolutely the correct rings. When I questioned ***** at PER about the block, he became defensive and told me that he's been doing this for over 30 years, etc. After paying $2899 and taking my stuff out of his shop due to poor attitude and loss of confidence, it was confirmed by another shop that PER did in fact machine the cylinder bores too big, which rendered my brand new pistons and piston rings useless. I had to pay the new shop to verify and re-machine everything. This is a race build and PER did not pin fit to the pistons/rods, line bore was off, cylinders were out of round and too big, etc. PER would not refund my money for pistons, machining, and balancing, and additional machining that was necessary to make it right. They only offered to fix it if I brought it back. I already paid another shop to fix all of their mistakes. I refused to bring all of my stuff back to a dishonest shop that has already cost me thousands and expect a different result.
