      My family and I had breakfast today, 5/17 at 12:29pm at Southern Belles Pancake house in **********, **. We went home and I noticed that I was overcharged for the taxes. I called right away and spoke to ******, the manager (same person who assisted me at the counter), and told me that the legal tax in Barrington is 10%. Before my Groupon discount of $15, my subtotal was $56.21 and the tax charged was $6.93 (12.33%, not 10%). ****** took my address, phone number and name so he could send me a $25 gift card for my troubles. ****** mentioned that they have been doing updates for a couple of days that could have been resulted to this error.I am very concerned about the other people who were overcharged and were not aware of it. Also, how long have they been overcharging taxes? I hope that someone, besides the staff/manager of Southern Belles, investigate and perform appropriate legal actions to avoid this from happening again.

      Our HarborTouch *** system started to dowload updates around noon as it usually does, on 5/17/2023 with several noticeable glitches, that affected our printing, certain specialty menu items, and overall computer health, which we planned to be resolved by end of business day. Overall it was a slow business day,

      As Mrs. * stated she used her Groupon discount voucher and her subtotal never changed, luckily she phoned ** right away and described the issue to **, and ****** after gathering all pertinent information, compensated her for her trouble and time spent on this matter with a gift card and did an internal investigation on the *** SYSTEM, 

      Luckily we contacted two other patrons that were affected by the glitch and we issued a gift card for the issue. Since ******** phone call, the issue has been resolved immediately, and all corresponding rates are correct, and monitored every few hours by the management team, to ensure no future errors, or upset customers will arise.

      On February 19, 2023, after lunch, I received my tap I noticed on the receipt there was a charge of $1.40 added to my bill for a surcharge for a credit card. I informed the manager ( *******) that I was paying with debit and I can not be charged a surcharge it only applies to credit card purchases, not a debit card. She refused to remove the item from the receipt. I tried contacting the owner but I was denied his information. I will like my money reimbursed along with an apology from the owner.
