  i ordered sod from central sod farms which was delivered on 9.24.2024. it was raining that day, so i installed some on 9.25 and had planned on installing the rest on 9.26, when i discovered the sod was diseased - it had rust, leaf spot and red thread. i called central sod the following morning, made them aware of the problem and sent the photos they requested. i assumed they would acknowledge the sod was not healthy and would resolve the problem by picking up the bad sod and delivering healthy sod. a few hours later, though, they notified me that they would not replace the sod. i then had to wonder if they had intentionally placed healthy rolls of sod on the top (concealing the diseased sod), in case i inspected it upon delivery. regardless, the sod had been delivered on a pallet, which was in the street, so i had to move all of the unusable sod from there to the opposite end of my property by the alleyway. i then had to figure out how i was going to dispose of it - and where i was going to "store" it until it could be disposed of. i purchased the sod to spruce up my front yard because i was putting my house on the market and i couldn't have piles of decomposing sod sitting in the area i was going to stage as an outdoor sitting area. after all of that additional work, i still had to remedy the situation i was left with - a small section of my yard had sod and the rest was dirt. i contacted a number of sod farms and they wouldn't even entertain the notion of delivering to me and in general didn't seem interested in my small order, but i finally found one - it was 65 miles away and i had to pick it up. i paid central farms $259.10 for the sod and i would like a 100% refund.i am attaching pictures of the sod that show it's diseased and of the sod piled up in my garbage area, waiting to be disposed of. my neighbor will gladly provide a witness statement that the sod was diseased and that i installed only a portion of the sod and discarded the rest.
