    A $1500 deposit from a prior owner was transferred to me upon purchase of the house. A new signed contract between me and this business was made after attempting to get services rendered from August to October 2024. This contract was signed in March 2025. Since then, there have been constant last-minute rescheduling and cancellations, culminating in the owner calling my personal number and saying he doesn't appreciate the negative impact a Facebook review associated with this job has had on his reputation. He argued his workload is too much to expect prompt service, finally ending the call with a barrage of swearing and slurs. Through all of this, his business has kept the deposit.

    On August 31, 2022 an agreement was made with ***** *********, the owner of J & N Sealcoating & Paving Inc, to complete work on our driveway no later than October 5, 2022. A $2,000 deposit was given to ***** with the remainder due upon completion of the work. ***** never did any work and put us off on several occasions before and after the October 5, 2022 end date. We requested the return of our deposit on multiple occasions. He has never returned our money and/or done any work on our driveway.
