    My husband and I had taken our taxes to Beers Tax Service on August 18, 2022. We sought their services to correct some errors that we were getting when we tried to file our taxes independently. I had called the day before we dropped them off to make sure that they were able to take a look at them and help us fix the issue. We are trying to buy a house so we needed them corrected in a timely manner. The lady said that yes, we could drop them off whenever we had a chance. Two weeks went by and we hadn’t heard anything from them. I called a few times at the two work point before I finally got a response, making it nearly 3 weeks since we had initially dropped our taxes off. I was told at that time that the 2 ladies that do the taxes had been on vacation and were still on vacation. I called again several times early in September with no response to my calls. I had left several messages and no return calls! I continued to try to make contact but was unable to get a response until mid-September. When I finally got through to someone, I was told that the tax ladies would be back the following week and to call back then. I called back the next Tuesday and was told that they wouldn’t be getting to my taxes until the following week! I called the following Monday to see how long it would take because we are needing them for our mortgage to buy a house. They finally called me back on Wednesday and said that they were finished. When we went to pick them up because they were supposedly complete,, we charged over $300. We were told that everything was done and that they just needed to be checked and resubmitted. We paid for the services they allegedly provided but now we are still dealing with issues that they messed up. Our names and social security number were apparently entered incorrectly. We also have concerns that now they weren’t even filed correctly and since our lender is unable to find a tax transcript, we aren't even sure if our taxes were actually filed with the IRS.

     part of the issue was the client did not provide complete information for the business schedule. When we requested additional information we were told she did not have time to look that up, just finish the return with what we had. 300.00 is not excessive for a return with a business, extra work that was needed because the business information was not totaled in the correct format. They brought the return to us because they tried to file it themselves and it was rejected by IRS. Our original submission was rejected as well due to incorrect ss number. I suspect they had entered the wrong ss number. We also gave a credit on the original bill for taking longer than usual. When it is outside the normal filing filing period of Jan to April, we do not have the same turnaround time, due to fewer staff in the office season. 

    although we did not feel we were at fault, we issued a full refund . Therefore this complaint was already resolved.
