    Complaint: 23595994

I am rejecting this response because: In regards to the window that is not what he told me. He texted me and said that he would send me my refund on June 27th 2025. No where in the message did he mention anything about waiting for a refund from where he got it. He is only saying this now that I have sent this complaint. As far as me being satisfied with the previous work, it's like I said he made sure that the major parts were done but kept telling me they would be back to finish the pictures I  provided to the point where I got tired of constantly waiting especially with the amount of money I had already spent and decided not to continue to do business with him. Even after leaving the trash from the work they did in my backyard for over a month.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ********

    Dear Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for notifying us regarding the recent complaint submitted on July 14, 2025 (ID *********. We take all customer concerns seriously and are committed to resolving issues professionally and respectfully.

We would like to clarify that this issue is not related to unfinished work or a breach of contract, but rather to a specific miscommunication involving a custom window order. The supplier delivered the incorrect size, and unfortunately, the window could not be returned. A $650 deposit had been collected solely for ordering this window.

We have already requested a refund from the supplier. As soon as the funds are returned to us, we will promptly issue a full $650 refund to the customer within 57 business days. We are committed to resolving this final detail as quickly as possible.

Aside from this isolated item, the entire remainder of the project was completed professionally, and every part of the work was inspected, supervised, and approved by the customer. In fact, the customer paid the balance of the contract only after the work was completed and reviewed, which confirms their satisfaction with the results.

    Work completed includes:

Exterior plumbing repairs, successfully completed and praised by the client.
    Shed repairs, completed as agreed.
Kitchen painting and various general repairs throughout the property.
Relocation of a handrail based on updated placement sent by the customer. Painting of the rail was not included in the scope.
Construction of a closet in the basement.
Final plumbing replacements on the exterior of the home.

If the client had been unhappy with the results, they would not have made the final payment. On the contrary, the work was fully supervised, completed, and paid for after inspection. This complaint is solely about a $650 deposit refund for a custom window that was delivered incorrectly due to a supplier error.

    Resolution Plan:

Refund: The customer will receive a full refund of $650 for the incorrect window within 57 business days once our supplier processes our request.
Transparency: We remain open to further communication to ensure the clients full understanding and satisfaction.
Commitment to Quality: All other contracted work has been completed, approved, and paid in full by the client.

Chicago Electrical and Plumbing LLC remains committed to quality workmanship, ethical practices, and transparent communication. We value our reputation and strive to resolve every issue with honesty and professionalism.

    Sincerely,
    Csar *******

    Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond once more, though we find it disappointing that we must continue addressing a matter that should have been resolved in good faith.

First and foremost, the $650 deposit in question pertains solely to a custom-sized window order. As we previously explained, the refund process was delayed due to supplier return policies for custom products. Still, we assured Mr. ******** the money would be returned, and we remain committed to refunding the full amount within 57 business daysregardless of the suppliers timeline.

What is truly frustrating is the attempt to publicly discredit our company over this single isolated matter. We have operated for over 15 years without a single formal complaint and have built a solid reputation based on professionalism, transparency, and the quality of our work.

The original contract was fulfilled. All agreed-upon work was completed, verified, and approved by the clientand payment was made only after the customer reviewed and accepted the results. The initial scope of work was professionally supervised, and all debris and material were properly removed from the job site.

Throughout this entire process, we have conducted ourselves with courtesy and professionalism. At no point have we disrespected the client. On the contrary, I personally remained accessible, flexible, and cooperativesomething few contractors are willing to do after completion and payment. It is extremely disappointing to now face accusations, insults, and manipulation of our reputation over a single, resolvable issue.

Let it be absolutely clear: no businessespecially one with over a decade of service and zero prior complaintsshould be subjected to public defamation over a minor dispute. We are a hardworking, licensed, and reputable company. This situation is not a reflection of our business practices but rather a breakdown in communication regarding one single item.

We will complete our obligation to refund the $650 as stated. Beyond that, we stand by our work, our conduct, and our long-standing reputation.

    Sincerely,
    Csar *******

I am rejecting this response because: You can clearly see from the screenshot of text messages he said that he would take care of what's in the pictures but still didn't. Those were his responses. When it says ok I'll take care of it with the date's and time's from each message sent.

    Sincerely,

    To Whom It May Concern,

At this point, it is clear that the customer is no longer seeking a reasonable resolution, but rather attempting to damage the reputation of my company without cause.

Let me be very clear: the only pending item is the $650 window deposit, which will be refunded once the supplier processes the return request. All other work was completed, verified, and paid for by the client including work that went beyond the original agreement, without additional charges.

I have made every effort to respond professionally and resolve the matter, but Mr. ******** continues to ignore the facts and misrepresent the situation. My company has over 15 years of proven experience, hundreds of satisfied clients, and no prior BBB complaints. I will not allow a single misleading complaint to undermine that history.

There is nothing more to discuss. The deposit will be refunded period. Everything else is a distortion of the truth, and I will not continue to engage with baseless accusations.

    Sincerely,
    Csar *******

I am rejecting this response because: It's clear who is the liar the proof is in the text messages I have sent as screenshot based on conversations. At this point just refund my $650 the I sent you on November 26th 2024, that you were supposed to refund back in May of this year. Then lied and said that it would be sent on June 27th of this year and now is telling another lie because I contacted the BBB  about a refund from the manufacturer. I included a few more screenshot of our text messages proving he's a liar.

    Sincerely,
