So I had an appointment with this place and upon my visit the doctor told me she cant prescribe the medicine I wanted to be on ( the medication IS NOT A NEW MEDICINE I HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR YEARS ) and she eventually she told me she will check my records to see if I was being truthful about being on both of those medications at the same time. She told me she was sending me a perscription for now until she checks the records. Many hours later I called back and the staff in the front office was very rude to me telling me the doctor never said she was sending me anything. So I thought to myself there is just a communication issue thats all. I went to ********* and got my records for perscriptions to show proof of what she was asking for in our video visit, and when I call they hang up on me with no explanation. I feel defeated and my mental health is at risk. I have tried many times to contact them to no avail. My health insurance only covers me to go to certain places so I have to use there services and I cant get someone to schedule me a visit to discuss maybe different medication options or to show my records like they were asking for before. The front desk is very rude and after I wrote a review online about how my mental health was affected and they send the police to my home for a welfare check knowing I dont need that and I need to see a psychiatrist. I told the doctor I am on parole so she knows Im not allowed any type of police contact and the visit from the police felt *****. It felt like a get back for me writing a bad review online.

Since this is a matter that involves HIPAA compliance, it is difficult for me to address this situation via this platform. I received notification from this individual shortly after his appointment that he did not have a prescription called in for him on the same day of his appointment and attempted to call him. However, he did not answer and did not return my phone call. He was told that he needed to obtain records from his previous Psychiatrist and provide them to his new practitioner before she would make a determination of whether or not she would prescribe the medication he was requesting. Just because he was seen by the new provider for the first time Doesnt mean that he is going to be prescribed what he wants immediately or if at all. It is up to the discretion of the licensed practitioner to determine whether or not it is in the best interest of the patient, the Practice and the practitioner, whether or not a controlled substance is prescribed to a patient or not. when documentation is not provided, it is poor Practice to just prescribe controlled substances without due diligence. This person decided on the same day of his appointment to make a ****** review, stating that he was not being taken care of and was at high risk because of his mental health and that is why there was a wellness check done on him. That was our due diligence to make sure that nothing was being missed. Any patient that comes into our practice for the first time or anytime is notified by the practitioner of what to expect when it comes to prescribing practices. If the patient cant follow these rules, then medications may not be provided and it is up to the practitioner whether or not a patient provider relationship should exist in the first place or not. Demanding medication to be prescribed just because you have been on it previously doesnt guarantee that youre going to be prescribed that by a new provider. There are many variables that need to be considered after a thorough initial evaluation is completed. Again within five minutes of him posting, a request on our website for somebody to contact him, I responded and said that I would call him immediately which I did to the phone number that he had provided and he did not answer the phone. Anytime somebody posts a review online that states that their mental health is at risk , and our business is a part of that, we will send a wellness check by the police to your home.

so long story short, I do have my records now, and never one single time have I ever been threatening or demanding to this place as they have said in the bogus letter they sent me. They make me sound crazy because I know exactly what I heard the doctor tell me and I would go as far to say that the interaction was recorded because most businesses record those things for training purposes later. This response offered absolutely no resolution to my problem because my insurance only lets me go to certain places for treatment and they lied in the letter that they sent me I was being demanding and threatening. I will also go as far as going to my phone carrier and getting my phone records to prove during this time period to show that nobody was ever reaching out to me. This place is very full of lies. They are very deceitful To benefit themselves. It is bad practice to treat people how I have been. I would like to be able to see somebody for my mental health and show the documents that you guys never requested from me, but I have them anyway. The doctor told me that she could look up my history herself. So they also lied about requesting those documents from me. All I want is to speak to a licensed Psychiatrist And this place has done nothing but blasphemy. Sickening

Mindplexity Psychiatric Services is unable to provide specific details related to this complaint due to HIPPA regulations, however we have tried to reach out to this client multiple times without success. He is more than welcome to contact us at ************************************** and provide us with a way to contact him. We are a psychiatric mental health clinic that provides medication for various mental health conditions and will do our due diligence to make sure proper protocols are followed and diagnoses are correct before medications are prescribed. Just because someone believes they should be prescribed a controlled substance does not mean you will be prescribed that controlled substance on your first or any appointment with a provider. Each provider here has the autonomy to make decisions using evidenced based practice and we will not tolerate being strong armed or bullied online to prescribe these medications. This client was notified of what needed to be done on the day of the appointment and he did not agree with the instructions. Instead of complying with what needed to be done and answering his phone with the phone number he provided when the owner called him to discuss these instructions, he posted a negative review on ****** reviews that same day. In that review, he accused us of not providing a medication necessary for his mental health. In order to make sure his needs were being met, we had a well check done on him, following proper protocol.

    Sincerely,
