    We are part of a traveling sports team (softball to be exact). Various parents visited local businesses asking about possible donations to a raffle. ***** volunteered a pizza package with five $10 gift certificates. My wife and daughter bid on that raffle prize, won it, only to have the restaurant refused their own gift cards, because they said they were not signed by a proper employee. To the best of my knowledge these cards were not reported as stolen to the police, and refusing to accept your own gift certificates issued to a local non-profit youth organization feels very sleezy. Not to mention the poor customer service of basically accusing my wife of having stolen the gift cards, then confiscating these gift certificates from her.Needless to say, the fact we spent money, to win a prize from a local business, which then refused to honor their own donation, is incredibly irritating, and does not speak well of the business ethics of such a business.
