    The city of *********, ** has recently made a contract with rock river disposal to be the only garbage provider in town. I used to be with Marengo disposal who has the same parent company of Waste Connections. On 1/15/25 I contacted them due to my garbage not being picked up and they said I was past due on my account by $216.55 and Id need to pay $140.50 to start service back up. I was never informed of this until they cut service. I had auto pay set up on the old account and it always showed paid. They refuse to do anything about this other than telling me to pay.

    When we did the switch over with the city there were letters and announcements sent out to all residents in the community. It looks like Dec 6, 2024 we tried reaching out to him but did not hear back until he reached back out again Jan 16, 2025. Since then the balances and accounts have been updated and resolved.

    Our garbage was NOT picked up January 25th and February 15th. We called both times to ask that it be picked up and if not issue ** a credit for failure to supply service. The second time they apologized and said they would have it picked up the next day. Which never happened. Each time we have asked for a supervisor to call us back and have never gotten a call back. We would like to know what happened with our service. We have had garbage pickup with this company for over 30 years and never had a complaint. Now our garbage is being picked up 50% of the time. What do we need to do to insure our service? We paid for a service that is not being supplied.

    Good Afternoon,
     
    *************** to a letter that was sent to us in the mail reference number ********. Both days they are referring to that the garbage was missed was due to one garbage bag that they set out and the wind blew it up past their ditch where the driver did not see it. Pick up should be placed at the end of their driveway. We did pull video for this customer when they called in to see what was going on and returned phone calls to let them know why the one bag was being missed. We also delivered them out one of our garbage totes and waived the $60 delivery fee for them. This was to help with future pick *** and the driver not being able to see a bag out there and can now service the trash tote. We ended the call with them being satisfied with waiving the delivery fee and providing them a trash tote. Since then we have not had any issues with their pick-***.
