A Fed Ex truck used my driveway to deliver a package to my neighbor. They hit my wagon wheel,knocked it out of the cement, dragged it to the ditch and left! My neighbor called me and told me the driver ran over the wheel,then left. I contacted *****, they asked for pictures, talked to my neighbor then turned in the claim to ******** Bassett. It's 5 weeks later,*********************** can't get the client to give her any information. The truck is in the shop,they can't download video,lies,lies and more lies. Today she told me the truck delivered at 2009 Maple Rd,yes they did while using my driveway and running over my wheel!! I have an eyewitness statement, her client won't even get back with her except with lies. I had this fix 3 weeks ago. I want the estimate and bill l turned in paid now!Business Response

I have not been able to contact this business which is handling my claim. I have tried both calling the resolution manager for my claim, as well as submitting an request via the Gallagher Bassett website. On 6/21/2023, I was hit by someone insured by Old Republic whereby Gallagher Bassett is a Third Party Administrator. On 6/28, an adjustor from GB (*************************; ***********************) took my statement about what occurred. She obtained my contact information and assured me that I would receive updates via email. 2 weeks passed and I received no updates. I emailed her on 7/12 asking for a status & received an out of office reply stating that she would return 7/13. She never followed-up to my email. A week later, I received a generic blanket letter in the mail that stated my claim was denied. The letter was dated July 14th and my address was misspelled. Based on the timing of her out of office message and the date on the letter, it appears ************** spent virtually no time investigating my claim. Instead, she returned from vacation and sent a blanket denial letter the very next day. Under the ** Ins. Code, I am entitled to know why my claim was denied. As such, on 7/24, I called ************** and left her a voicemail requesting her to disclose specific reasons for denying the claim. She never returned my call or followed-up to my voicemail. On July 27, I called ************** again requesting a call back to discuss why my claim was denied. Her voicemail stated that she was on vacation (yet again...). She never returned my second call either. I should state that I am an attorney and if my inquiry is not addressed, I will pursue a bad faith insurance claim against ************** and GB and file a complaint with the ** Department of ********** I would like to speak to **************** supervisor (**************** lack of professionalism has demonstrated itself) to determine why my claim was denied and how much time was actually spent investigating the case. It appears ************** was more interested in her vacation rather than conducting an actual investigation before sending a blanket denial letter. I am asking for resolution on this matter or I will pursue further legal action.Business Response

On July 15th a FedX truck driver hit my parked truck causing over 7k worth of damage. I've filed the claim with Gallagher Basset per the instructions from FedX. Since file the claim with Gallagher Bassett it has been nothing but chaos. They initial representative ******************************* was helpful in the beginning but moving forward my car was at the J&S tow yard for 11 days because GB would not pay the bill, eventually they overnighted a check so my truck could be release to the auto re-builders. I had to pay out of pocket an additional $260 to get the truck to the ************** because the check GB sent was short that amount. ******* informed me and my mother who's been trying to help me as well with this situation that I would get reimbursed. Fast forward, My truck has been at the auto re-builder since 7/25 and because ******* quit and did not response to the paperwork and/or cost of the repairs from the auto re-builders, they cannot work on my truck. Only, When I called and sent emails that when I found out she was gone. Now my claim has been moved to adjuster *********************** ************** of who lives in another state not IL. I've left voicemails and can't get a response. When you call GB customer service they say to wait ****************************************************************************************** 24hrs. Which did not happen. It's August 3rd and I still can't get any assistance. GB is also responsible for the rental car payment until my truck is fix so again incurring a lot of expenses for FedX that they have to pay against this claim is ridiculous. I'm trying to resolve this matter by getting my truck fixed, my $260 reimbursement. I have documents to support the problems and issues I'm having with GB. I have confirmation in writing that all expenses in this claim will be pay for by Gallagher Bassett. I have the police report to show the **** driver was at fault. I was involved in a vehicle accident on February 21st, 2023 and my case was passed over to Gallagher Bassett, who is the company handling the claim involving myself and the other party involved in the accident. Since then, I have yet to receive payment of loss of vehicle, the totaled vehicle is still in my possession and have only received a handful of communication from anyone at their offices. My claim has now been passed over to a third person in their offices and I'm at a loss as to how to get them to communicate back with me. I have not paid them anything for their services, as this auto accident was not my fault, but I'm trying to get the issue resolved since we're nearing 6 months from the date of the accident and their company has yet to hear from the other party who hit me. I have emailed them all of the information regarding the claim and in fact, gave them the police report stating I'm also not at fault so they can bypass contact from the other party involved. I cannot and will not recommend anyone to use this company given their lack of communication and resolution response time.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:. They did not do anything, other than contact me again to tell me there was nothing the would do . When I was asked to provide more evidence other than me and my wife witnessing the indecent,and the pictures I provided. I was told that wasn't good enough. When I asked what other evidence they want, she didn't have an answer. Just said anything else you can provide, we will review. This company has a history of not paying claims. Complaints all over the internet about them. Lied about getting video footage from the ***** truck, absolutely horrible. Hopefully small claims will see my side!
