I have been dealing with this company, my vehicle was parked in their client parking lot on 12/9. I received a call from the local authorities regarding my vehicle involved an accident at 3 am. I went and looked, surely my vehicle was heavily damaged. I called their client and left numerous voice messages. I finally received an email from Gallagher and let me know that they are accepting 100% liability due their client negligent. I proceed with their instructions and have my vehicle towed to my dealership body shop. They offered a rental but the rental facility is several miles away from my job and home. I informed their agent #1 that due to my long working schedule, I cannot get the rental. I asked if they can schedule a rental at the airport where I work, they denied my request. Two week after the incident, agent #1 informed me that my vehicle is deemed to total lost and sent me their adjuster evaluation report. I reviewed their documents and noticed their error. I emailed agent #1 with the supporting documents. With delay, deny, and confuse tactics they are executing. It incurred a balance of $3,600 out of pocket expenses as of 1/29/2023. Currently, my case has transferred from agent #1 to agent #2. Because of agent #2 is a trickster based on how she dealing with my legal documents. I requested to deal directly with her supervisor. It has been more than six weeks and my case still have not resolved and expenses continue to incurred. I hope BBB can help me to resolve this matter.Business Response

My property sustained $8k worth of damage by ***************** They assigned my claim to Gallagher Bassett in 2022 for damage occuring in March and April of 2022. I have yet to get resolution. I have contacted Gallagher Bassett multiple times. They did not follow protocol to get the damage assessed in a timely manner. They insisted I needed to get the damage appraised and when I did they rejected the amount of the contractor and then stated after months of delays that they use their own appraiser. They bumped me to multiple agents so each time I had to start over again explaining everything. Then they threatened not to settle the claim unless I signed an agreement that I would hold harmless the offending business. I believe it is unlawful for a business to inflict $8k worth of damage to property and then push the claim to a claims company that drags it out for months and months not returning calls or emails, and then come up with a unsatisfactory payout of roughly 10% of the full damages.Business Response

This company I have stated is the other vehicles insurance carrier who was involved in a vehicle accident with my vehicle on 12/4/22. They agreed to be responsible with any cost for a vehicle rental agreement. As of to date, they have not contacted the rental company. I submitted several requests for reimbursements which remain ignored, open and unpaid. The currently assigned adjuster hardly ever responds to emails and does not return phone calls. I have been unable to reach the adjuster for several months.I am owed two(2) requests for reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Medical Expenses: one for prescription medication and another for medically-necessary supplies.I initially submitted these requests to my previous adjuster on 9/07/2022. I emailed the current adjuster on 9/21/2022 and requested an update via email on 11/03/2022. I made one last attempt to email the adjuster on 01/17/2023 and have not heard from them.I am also owed at least one(1) request for reimbursement for Travel Expenses incurred to receive medical care.I submitted email 11/03/2022. I received a single email response dated 11/22/2022 from the adjuster, acknowledging receipt of my correspondence which also indicated that the information I provided was adequate. Since then, there has not been any follow-up communication, response, nor payment on their end. I made one last attempt to email the adjuster on 01/17/2023 and have not heard from them.I have called their office several times & left multiple voicemails, but I have received no phone calls from them in return. I tried to reach a supervisor, but the receptionist/person taking the call offered no help nor could transfer me to anyone else. I was repeatedly told that my calls would be escalated. The escalation process has amounted to nothing.I logged calls (attempts to reach the adjuster and unable to) on: 11/08/22, 11/17/22, 11/21/22, 11/28/22, 12/29/22, 1/05/23.Furthermore, I continue to receive medical care for this claim & have incurred additional expenses to which I am entitled to reimbursement, but I am frustrated by the adjusters avoidance, lack of professionalism, and unreliability. This is the worst insurance company Ive ever worked with or heard of anyone working with.We have been waiting since June 28 2022 for them to pay the repairs on a brand new motorcycle that was rear ended at a red light.Ive talked to the agent one time one the phone and agreed to pay the claim and nothing since. In 4 months before this the only contact I recently received was she hasnt received he quote, shes had it since July.They cant even follow their own rules, I asked for a supervisor to call and when that request is put in they has until 2pm to call you and ask be done this twice with no response.I do not recommend the company for anything but lies which they are good at.I filed the lawsuit today so we will see what happens!Business Response

Hello:Was involved in a crash (5-27-2022), liability was accepted by the other driver's insurance ************************ and Gallagher Basset as the claims administrator. Claim # *** 515 025 122 AD01 was assigned. Required many weeks (a month and a half!) to get a response from the assigned adjuster to set up the appraisal and rental which finally began 7-14-2022. The authorization to repair was received by the shop 8-8-2022. The repair was completed November 8th. As I expected my vehicle to be available very soon I returned the rental on 11-11-2022. At that point I was informed by the rental company that GB had not remitted payment for the month of October and that portion of November. Those charges ($1640.00) were placed on my account. I have repeatedly forwarded the invoice to the adjuster but have not received any response.....The repair shop submitted the final invoice for the repair on or about 11-11-2022 but has not received payment. Both the shop and myself have repeatedly called the customer service representatives ****************) at GB, had multiple "escalations" placed on the claim by the customer reps. with assurances of 24hr call backs that don't happen and two incidents according to the customer reps. notes where payment had been purportedly authorized and sent out but never received by the shop. At this time the shop can't release my vehicle due to non payment and I returned the rental as an act of good faith. The continued delay and diversion from GB is NOT in good faith. I was injured on the job on 11/29/22 and sent to an urgent care who pulled me out of work. I was immediately put on LOA as of 11/30/22. Gallagher Bassett was assigned to my case. On 12/15/22 I was first contacted by them. I was told a check was being mailed out on 12/16/22 and that I would be paid every 7 days from there. I signed up for direct deposit. As of today, 12/25/22, when I look on the app it says 2 checks have been issued, one of those showing direct deposit on 12/23 but still isnt in my account 3 days later. Yet, I still have not received a single dollar from them. Not even the one that was to be direct deposited. Strange, I received all other mail that they sent me, including a check statement, but no check. Then they all were unavailable on Friday 12/23 until Tuesday 12/27. These people have destroyed my familys Christmas, caused me to have hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees due to automatic payments that I should have been able to cover based on the payments I was told I was receiving. I am giving them 48 hours from when they open on 12/27 to have my payments in my hands or Im contacting my attorney. It is illegal for me to still have no payment an entire month after I was injured.Business Response

Gallagher Bassett has been contact with ****************** on several occasions regarding his wage payment and reached out to him again on 12/27/22. The Resolution manager spoke to ******************. ***************** indicated that he still had not received the first check issued on 12/16/22. The Resolution manager emailed ****************** a stop pay affidavit. Once ****************** returns the affidavit, the Resolution manager will reissue the payment which will go directly into his bank account as he has successfully set up direct deposit.
The resolution manager will follow up with ****************** again tomorrow and until ****************** successfully receives the funds for the initial payment made.Customer Answer

On August 6 2022 I got severe food poisoning from Gallagher Bassetts insured. The restaurant ignored me as did corporate until I offered a lawsuit. Gallagher did the same, won't return calls and told me they would likely deny a claim without a stool sample to prove food poisoning. Meanwhile I have proof their insued ingored me for months and dragged their feet. They never asked for a sample so how can I prove it? When I filed a BBB report against their insured that was ignored too. The BBB, in its response suggested legal action. I'm looking for a settlement sine gallagher Bassett and their insured deliberately dragged their feet to run out the clock and ignored me. Even today, the supervisor ***************** promised me a call back within one hour. That was 6 hours ago. Shame on this company and their sorry excuse for customer service. Apparently the only way to get what is owed is to hire an attorney to prove what I already gave yo gallagher Bassett. I have offered ********* I have been ignored.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: When I spoke to the supervising claims adjuster and let her know ********* and Gallagher Bassett did not ever ask for a stool sample to prove food poisoning, she asked me what settlement I would desire. I simply wanted enough to cover the days losses, a family reunion and a trip to the theme park. She said she would get back to me within one hour, that was a week ago and then I received a denial letter yesterday. Gallagher Bassett and their employees behavior was disastrous and I still demand a settlement for injuries. ********* and Gallagher Bassett deliberately dragged their feet and delayed response. If they fail to respond then I will bring them both to court, which will cost much more than a small settlement of $750 for my days losses. This is a conservative estimate. Based on the deliberate avoidance of me from ********* and Gallagher (and the paperwork to prove it), you look pretty bad and unethical.
