I ordered a Yardmax YB6770 snow blower online a the end of last November. A representative of the company called to say it was being shipped to me, asked if I could help unload it and that it weighed 189 lbs. I said yes assuming that it was being shipped to a private residence and that the delivery vehicle would be appropriately equiped. When it arrived on 12/5/24 it was on a full size semi WITHOUT a lift gate so that the truck driver and I had to unload it off the back of the truck to the ground without mechanical assistance. After wrestling it to the ground and our garage I assembled and began using it. After four uses the cable from the controls to the auger disconnected leaving it nonoperable. Since it was the middle of snow season in **, I looked for someone to pick up the unit and repair the cable, (which was shipped by Yardmax to me), who actually repairs snowblowers professionally before the next snow. After the repair I submitted the bill for transport and repair to Yardmax, who at first said that I had not followed "proceedure" by getting the repair done before an estimate was reviewed by their ************* and reimbursement would take "...longer that usual". Shortly thereafter, I found out that the headlight and heated hand grips were also not functioning. After following Yardmax CS support instructions to reconnect wires without success, they said they would ship new switches for the light and hand grips as a next step. I was also informed that my warranty claim for the auger cable repair was denied.I purchased the unit in good faith, registered the product for warranty and expected that, since I had no experience in snowblower repair, the service and repair should be covered. The entire bill for transport and repair came to $94.95 on a $900+ product whic need the repair ASAAP during snow season.A warranty that covers only parts and in which a buyer is supposed to perform all repairs is not what I understood the actual coverage to be.Initial Complaint

We purchased a Yard Max YB6270 two stage snowblower in 2021. This year when we went to start it the snowblower would not turn on. My husband reached out to Yard max and was connected with ******* ***** who assisted my husband in ordering a new carburetor as that was the issue. When we got the package it was not the correct part so we reached back out. Turns out that Yard Max is no longer supporting that model of snowblower so we will be unable to get the part needed to repair the snowblower. This is unacceptable to me as a customer. We spent around $500 for this machine and there is no reason it should not be repairable. The snowblower has only been used a dozen times and the company is now telling me its worth nothing. Yard Max needs to support their equipment for longer than 3 years. They either need to get us a new machine or reimburse us for the money we spent.Initial Complaint

I am trying to get my snow blower repaired under warranty. Since 11/19/2024 I am going back and forth on email with customer service. I have provided all required information and followed instructions but neither the recommendations have provided a solution nor was it offered for someone on Yardmax's behalf to look at the machine. Last request was to provide a picture of the gas tank. They apparently believe I don't know where to add gasoline.Initial Complaint

08/18/2024 I received a yardmax lawnmower from ******* by mail order at cost of $384.11. Order #*******-38746595 The end of September the self-propelled component stopped working. I called yardmax. They sent a lot of videos about fixing the issue. They advertise two years warranty parts and labor ,but , I found there is no service support with in 100 miles.then I was told to take it to the shop and send them an estimate before any work is done ,but , I could not present the job as a warranty fix. I would have to pay out of pocket and they would reimburse me.This was and is confusing. I still have grass to cut . I am retired and just would like it fixed or refund. I have email noted to support all that I am putting forth, If needed. Can you help?Initial Complaint

this mower was purchased on May 9,2024, and is already in need of repair. contacted customer service and gave description of problem. they sent videos and had me take mower apart to trouble shoot, im 70 yrs old and this was a great deal of work, as im not really physically able to do much of this. contacted them again, and another video sent. they suggest taking to engine repair shop, get estimate, itemized details of parts, submit to Yardmax people for approval, they will send parts to repair shop, we will pay for repairs out or our pocket, submit to them for them to reimburse!!!! i feel this is unacceptable,we are still without a mower pending all of this, still out our money for purchase of mower thats defective, and unable to purchase another mower. im sure this will take a while to resolve, and in the meantime no mower. would just like a refund to purchase another mower. just feel this company expecting consumer to repair mower, and all of the trouble they want you to go through to fix defective mower yourself, im not physically able to continue to do this. if someone could please help us with this terrible situation. i feel at this point ia refund of our money is only acceptable solution, as we need to purchase a new mower. thank you *******************Customer Answer

Bought a yardmax mower in 2022, it worked a few times and then would idle down and shut off. Yardmax said it's the air filter so they sent a new one, same problem. Weeks of emails and now it's winter time they send a new engine for it that was damaged. I sent pictures and videos of oil leaking out before the motor was ran. Left with no choice but to install it, so I did and resealed everything. Six months later this motor is now idling down and shutting off same as the other engine. Yardmax said the motor has a defect where gas leaks internally due to a bad seal. They know what the problem is but continue to sell it and send the same engine out. I just contacted yardmax again hoping to get a refund for my money to buy a product that works reliably or an entire new lawn mower with new warranties. I will not dismantle the lawn mower to remove the engine and install a new one, I am not a mechanic nor do I have the time for that.Initial Complaint

Yardmax sold me a $1,500 log splitter. The engine quit working after 30 days of use. Yardmax doesnt support the engine on the splitter THEY sold me and told me to call ***************** (engine manufacturer). The product is under a 1 year warranty but not a single one of the local shops they say honor their warranties will service my splitter (3 of the 4 cant and the 4th wont for some reason). This is fraud of the highest order. I had no idea that my purchase involuntarily entered me into a binary warranty that neither party would honor or I would not have made the purchase. Please help us! Thank you
