Business Name: DJs Issue Summary: Poor workmanship and refusal to provide an adequate resolution for damages caused during a service.Detailed Complaint:I brought my vehicle to DJs with the expectation of receiving quality service and proper repairs. Unfortunately, the work was performed incorrectly, leaving me with additional damages that now require repair. When I contacted the business to address the issue, I initially requested a fair resolution: reimbursement of $1,000, which reflects the estimated cost to fix the damages caused by their negligence. The owner, *** ******, responded by offering only in-shop credit, which is unacceptable for several reasons:1.I no longer trust the shop to perform the repairs correctly after my initial experience.2.I own two nearly brand-new vehicles that are still under warranty and do not require their services.3.I have another antique vehicle that is located halfway across the state, making it logistically and financially unfeasible to return to DJs for repairs.*** claimed that $500 was sufficient for repairs, but he and I both know this is far below the actual cost to fix the damages. Additionally, towing the vehicle back to the shop would cost more than the $500 credit he offered, rendering this resolution entirely impractical.I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue amicably by explaining the situation and requesting a fair reimbursement. I am not asking for anything beyond the cost of having the damage they caused repaired elsewhere. However, I have not received a follow-up or any indication that the business is willing to take responsibility for their mistakes.Desired Resolution: I am requesting $1,000 in reimbursement to cover the cost of repairs. This is a fair and reasonable request based on the damages caused by DJs and the quotes I have received for repairs elsewhere.

    Business Response

    Hello- BBB.

I am following up on this complaint.

    ***** wrote a 2star complaint on ****** about 5 weeks ago.

So I responded to his low review of DJS

so I responded and said - You never told us you were not happy and you had some concerns.
He emails me and said the motor mounts we installed were defective
The intake gasket we installed leaked.

Again I told him he had a warranty and we would have helped.

The repairs were completed on 3/15/22.
We have a 12/12000 warranty. I still would have helped.

I still offered him $500.00 credit if we could help him currently- He called us incompetent and he would never come here again. Which is fine but he is out of warranty. I tried to offer something since the car but the car is at another shop and already being fixed.

The 2 repairs combined were $800.00 total is what he was charged- He wants $1000.00 cash
Again he is out of warranty and I tried to offer some compensation to help.

So I feel he made the decision to take the car somewhere else and never gave us a heads up of the issues.

Now he reaches out to the BBB and I feel I was trying to be fair.

    Thanks for your time.
