Wheelz warrenty company sold me a warrenty though the dealer I bought a truck ram **** to find out 3 days later the manifold bolts broke off 3 of them. The manifold is part of the engine there claiming bolts are not covered. I haven't even owned the truck for a month yet. Why do pay **** for a warrenty that doesn't c9ver nothing. They try to find some loophole to get out of it. But my paperwork says manifolds are covered but not bolts. Looks like I'll have to get my lawyer involved to make this right. I will be having them send paperwork out this week for a claim. That should be covered.

We understand ******************** frustration because American Auto Guardian, LLC (AAGI) is unable to authorize the repair of his vehicle under the terms of his vehicle service contract. Our records indicate that he purchased his vehicle on March 28, 2023, from **********. The vehicle had ******* miles as of the date of sale. A claim was filed by repair facility Chesterfield Auto Repair on April 19, 2023, because of a loud noise under the hood. The repair facility reported that the manifolds were rusted, and that several bolts were broken. This diagnosis was confirmed by an independent inspector that AAGI sent to determine the cause of failure and extent of any damage. The inspector determined that the broken bolts caused the exhaust to leak due to improper tension. Definitions Section A of ******************** Wheelz Contract defines Covered Parts as the parts specifically listed for coverage under the plan selected. Bolts and fasteners are not listed as covered components. In addition, Exclusion Section 18.h provides that failures due to rust or corrosion are not covered, and Exclusion H.7 states that Breakdowns resulting from conditions whether known or unknown to you that existed, or may reasonably assumed to have existed, before you purchased your vehicle (pre-existing conditions) are also excluded from coverage.AAGI explained to the repair facility and to ****************** that AAGI is unable to authorize the repair because breakdowns caused by pre-existing conditions, rust, or failures of parts not listed for coverage are not covered under the Wheelz Contract. Although a claim was not filed until 22 days after he purchased his vehicle, ****************** indicated that he noticed the problem 3 days after purchasing the vehicle. This is a clear indication of a preexisting condition. ****************** may wish to contact the selling dealership for assistance with this repair.

I will start with my service contract number VIS01090845. I strongly encourage someone considering this company providing warranty services to find a different provider. I am currently being denied coverage due to a non-serviceable u-joint failure due to rust. The bearings inside of a u-joint loose lubrication due to a seal failure which in turn allow lost lubrication and facilitate moisture to enter the cap and the bearings will then in turn fail. It all starts with the lost seal. A non-serviceable u-joint means there is no grease zert to add additional grease protecting the bearings from failure. I made two different calls and spoke to two different representatives, which I would encourage this company to review. One told me that it looks that the vehicle was submerged underwater which is obviously false which the company could review under my contract number. Also, the second representative acknowledged that it failed due to seal failure but then said it was rust. They also mentioned that it seemed that it was that way before purchasing through an actual Dodge dealer which I can completely accept, but to say it failed due to rust is false. I do not seek payment for my repairs as you can go through where the warranty was purchased and get a refund either to the lender or the buyer if the vehicle has no lean. I hope no one else deals with this issue and does receive exceptional service from this company in the future.

Our records indicate that ****************** had his vehicle towed to ******************* Friendly Chrysler on December 19, 2022, because the vehicle stopped moving, and their technician advised that the rear universal joint on the front driveshaft broke and damaged the transmission wiring harness. **** sent an independent inspector to determine the cause of failure and the extent of the damage. The inspector found that the universal joint failed due to rust and corrosion, subsequently damaging the driveshaft and transmission wiring harness. While Mr. ******** ********************** Contract provides that any failures to rust or corrosion are excluded from coverage and we believe Mr. ******** claim was properly denied, we have reviewed the claim and as a matter of good will, upon receipt of a signed copy of the repair order and proof of payment, **** will reimburse ****************** for the cost of his repair.

I do not recommend buying any service contract with this company. In my experience I had two separate breakdowns (as defined in the contract) that should have been covered according to any reasonable reading of the contract, and according to public service bulletins from the manufacturer, and according to the mechanics who actually worked on the vehicle. Both times this company sent their inspectors (who it appears have no mechanical expertise, but they must be good at paperwork) and they, in my opinion, bent over backwards to try and define my breakdown in such a way that it is a listed exclusion. They will likely respond to this review with something along the lines of "Such and such was an exclusion listed..." But in my experience they seem to attempt to re-write the dictionary to make sure your breakdown is an exclusion. Attempting to communicate with their employees is also a joke. They talk in circles refusing to say anything concrete or useful. I simply ended up paying for the repair myself, as well as the service contract, what's the point of insurance that pays nothing? There is no point. There is a reason this company is not accredited. To me they are nothing more than a legal scam to take your money. I cancelled my contract with them and I will be going to great lengths to tell everyone I meet how they do business, save your money.

We are sorry that ******************** feels that the claim he filed was handled improperly, and that he subsequently cancelled his vehicle service contract. In his review, ******************** takes issue with the inspections performed to identify the nature of the repairs needed. Contrary to his claims, **** uses an independent inspection agency that has no affiliation with AAGI and employs only inspectors with ASE or Manufacturer Certifications and at least 7 years experience performing repairs and diagnostics. In addition, the inspectors have no knowledge of the level of coverage or the terms and conditions covered under any service contract. AAGI uses their diagnosis to determine if a claim is covered. ******************** contends that two claims were improperly denied. However, the first was a request to cover a maintenance item and the second involved an engine problem that an independent inspection determined was due to carbon buildup. Both are clearly excluded in the contract. In evaluating the second claim, ******************** requested and **** provided a second independent inspection to confirm that the damage was due to carbon buildup and that this was the proper diagnosis of the problem. ******************** was provided with a copy of these detailed inspection reports. Furthermore, the problem identified was a known condition that was the subject of a ***************** Bulletin issued by the manufacturer. *************** contracts do not cover all repairs, and Mr. ********* contract clearly defines repairs that are excluded under the coverage he selected. As **** explained to ********************, under the terms of his Wheelz Contract, failures due to carbon buildup are excluded from coverage and, based on the language of the Wheelz Contract and inspection reports, we believe Mr. ********* claim was properly denied. If ******************** were to provide any information that would contradict the findings of the independent inspectors, we would welcome the opportunity to re-evaluate this determination.

My name is ***********************, volunteer Minister from ********, **. I own a 2019 ******* Tucson I purchased 13 months ago with a mere 5, 241 miles on it., (Currently 29k mi) from ************************************/*********************. Ironically, on 6/24/22, while on way to Dealer for a 30k oil change, in the city I work, it started Shaking, ticking on left side, under hood then "rod knocking" and finally seizing/ failing in middle of major, high-traffic highway, nearly resulting in major accident. NO pre-warning lights, NO check engine lights, NO check oil lights, etc. Car was towed to ****** ******* in ***********, **. (Where my appointment was). 1) As it urns out (through my own research), my vin# falls under a recall issue that was not fixed prior to purchase nor disclosed to me, re:"engine monitoring and logics warning system failure". More importantly, 2) There are several class-action lawsuits underway, one settled, in which ******* was found liable for faulty Class II Theta Engines, GDI NU 2.OL" (same as my vehicle) leading to rod knocking, position sensor failure, premature worn bearings, rapidly burning oil and even cars catching fire! This is a no-brainer situation in which ******* should be replacing my engine as ordered, but instead they are claiming, vehicle "neglect" (all maint. receipts were provided)and rejecting claim(which seems to be their m.o. based on similar complaints / civil filings that are ALL OVER THE **** and dealer says Im responsible for paying for new engine. Not sure who is more to blame: the ******* dealer it was towed to, ******* itself or AAGI as far as not doing right by the customer but fact is, I have to have my car. I commute to work an hour away, help look after a terminally ill mother, help support grandchildren and children, and must have reliable transportation to do so. I also suffer from disease and have medical appointments, and large medical bills. I cant even rent a car! Im running out of all my savings and I have to get to work.

We have received the Better Business Bureau e-mail dated July 17, 2022 regarding the review filed by *********************** regarding coverage for certain repairs to his 2019 ******* Tucson that he purchased from ************************************ ***** on April 14, 2021. At the time of purchase, **************** also purchased a 72-month, ******* mile AutoGuard ******************** Contract (AutoGuard Contract), and American Auto Guardian, LLC, formerly American Auto Guardian, **** (AAGI) is the administrator of the AutoGuard Contract. We have reviewed our records and a copy of Mr. ******* AutoGuard Contract. As of the date of this response, AAGI has not received any claim for repairs from **************** directly or from a repair shop working on his vehicle. The AutoGuard Contract **************** purchased is completely separate from and does not cover the matters repaired under the original manufacturers warranty or under any recalls issued by *******. We are sorry to hear that **************** has been unable to have his vehicle repaired; however, absent a claim filed with AAGI, we cannot evaluate the complaint he has filed. AAGI has no authority to approve or deny any repairs under a manufacturers warranty or recall notice. We would encourage **************** to pursue the action he finds appropriate now that he has this additional information.
