I recently had my 2015 dodge caravan break down. Upon submitting a claim to Zurich, we were informed that it was not covered. I contacted Zurich and was directed to card check who apparently sells the insurance plan for Zurich. I was then directed to ***************************** at ********************. I spoke to ***** On August 16th and was told they would go back and review the phone call of the renewal. We were under the impression that we had full coverage. ***** jtold me 24 to 48 hours and they would get back to me but as of August 23rd I have received no call back and when I call and leave voice mails no one calls back.Business Response

I purchased a 2016 *** ****** from ******************************** in GA, 11/2021. With the purchase I was offered an extended warranty from ******. I purchased the highest option as ***** are garbage cars, but its what my 16 year old wanted. Immediately we recognized the oil was burning in the car too fast. Took it to *** and they couldn't diagnose what was wrong. Tried to use the warranty on the struts' and suspension and was told that it wasn't covered. Daughter was stranded two months later, the engine locked up. Had the vehicle towed to *** on June 3, 2022. They said they were 3 to 4 weeks behind. I then contacted ****** to ask if I could get a rental, they said yes as long as the car is in the shop. I purchased a 30 day rental and after the 30 days *** finally diagnosed my car as engine failure due to the oil pump failing. *** ******** service has been horrible so the back and forth with them and ****** has been very hard, one blaming the other for the process being halted. I contacted ****** on 8/19/22 spoke with ****** and she told me after looking at some confusing notes as she would put it that the last communication was to the *** ********** requesting photos and videos of the issue. I stated that how is this possible when *** is the manufacturer of this vehicle no one else will be a better analysis of this? She then states that it will still have to be approved by their non-*** expert. She stated that they contacted my service advisor at *** ********* and requested the photos and video on 8/12/22 and they are still waiting on these things. I told her I would contact *** to see what the hold up was. I contacted *** the next day 8/20/22 and the Service Manager (*****) stated that they sent the photos and video in to Zurich (*********************) on 8/12/22 as requested. The ****** ******** service representative I spoke with (******) stated the ****** offices will be open on 8/20/22 till 5 pm and that I could have *** call to resolve the issue. On May 19th I was hit by this companies client which is a car dealership, *********************** in ************, **. Both this company tried to claim to be not at fault although per law in the *********** they are legally at fault and by proof of video that was sent to via their client. Also, according to my insurance company Zurich admitted to their client being at fault. I've reached out to this company several of times to their adjuster who is supposed to be handling my claim and to no avail they havent responded to phone calls which go straight to voicemail all times of the day during business hours nor have they responded to any of my emails. I AM AT MY **** END AND EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED TRYING TO DEAL WITH THIS MATTER CORDIALLY WITH THIS COMPANY. I need a response ASAP regarding my settlement owed to me by this insurance due to the negligence of their client.Business Response

Hello I submitted a complaint on 5/13/2022 against Zurich North America. My complaint ID is ************* again they have stopped making payments to me for over a month now. The shuttle service, included as part of our trip (provided by *********************) was supposed to be a 2.5-hour trip to the hotel. We were supposed to check in April 16th, 2022 at around 5:30 PM. However, the bus ride took over 8+ hours - with no stops - except in traffic causing us to arrive after midnight on April 17th, 2022 (a 6+ hour delay). By the time we were able to check in it was around 2:00 AM April 17th, 2022. I have a Zurich vehicle service contract for a powertrain (no wear & tear) warranty. Ive had my vehicle service department speak with them twice concerning my engine knocking constantly and pulling when idling. Zurich says that this is due to wear & tear because my car is over ******* miles, and they wont repair or replace my engine. However, my car is a ************** Cars of that quality shouldnt have engine problems like mine does due to wear and tear. Also, my car did not have those problems when I purchased it.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have not owned the vehicle long enough for that type of wear and tear to occur. My warranty is supposed to cover my use of the vehicle. I purchased the car at the beginning of January with ******* miles on the engine and it currently has ******* miles at he beginning of August. Zurich does not want to honor their warrantyTo Whom it May **************** do not accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint. The business states that my engine problems are from wear and tear. I have not had the vehicle that long for it to be worn and torn that much. I purchased the vehicle at the beginning of January with ******* miles on the engine. Currently, the engine has ******* miles. A difference of less than or equal to ****** miles of normal use on my engine should not cause the problems that Im having. Zurich does not want to provide the service that Im paying them for. They seem prefer to sell warranties to make money, but not honor those warranties nor provide good customer service. ********************** seems to want to take advantage of their customers/ warranty-holders rather than genuinely helping them and holding up their end of the contract (that the customer/ warranty-holder) that has been or currently is being paid for.
