I applied for United States Medical Licensing (*****) Step 2 Clinical Skill course via the ***** Success Academy ("the Academy") on Feb 23, 2020, and I choose the date for the course from April 6th-10th before the actual Step 2 CS exam on April 14th. All the exams was postponed to May until further notice due to the ***** pandemic and ultimately the exam was abolished all together for the *****. Therefore, I initially informed the academy that I would like to postpone my clinical course, and later on after hearing the notice of abolishing the exam I asked the academy to refund me the paid amount ($2247) on June 4th 2024. The Academy refused to refund the amount that I was entitled to. Though the Academy did offer the courses in June of 2020; however, this offer was of no use at that time, as I had already taken the Step 2 clinical knowledge exam and had relayed that to the Academy. The Academy did not provide a feasible resolution for my situation. I have continuously been requesting the refund, and now they refused to response on the request. The Academy's inability and refusal to provide me a feasible resolution has caused extreme mental and financial stress for myself. I find it highly appalling and disdainful that the Academy has not provided a resolution and now they are refusing to correspond. I find this behavior highly unprofessional and am astonished that they would treat a customer this way. The circumstances behind the requested refund were beyond my control: if there is no ***** exam, then there is no need for the study courses plain and simple. The Academy was trying to push these courses on me even though they knew that, practically, these courses were of no use to me, even after I explained my situation. I would appreciate a swift resolution. Please feel free to contact me at **************, ************************* or ********************

I purchased an exam prep course from ***** Success Academy to attend from 9/27-10/23 of 2021. There were some miscommunication is***s regarding receiving emails and I was not able to attend that specific course. The ***** Success Academy then said I violated their contract and was not able to get a refund of any kind. I paid $3147 on 9/15/21 for the prep course as well as $2000 on 9/21/21 for the hotel that was supposed to be at **********************. Additionally, because I was not able to attend the original course date they stated the hotel had extra fees so I paid $500 more to offset cost. I specifically requested the Quality Inn and my receipt states the money and reservation was intended for the **********************. The ***** Success Academy then contacted me on 9/26/21 stating that my hotel was now switched to the Holiday Inn because quote, "the Quality Inn is experiencing pandemic related is***s and not offering the discounted rate currently so we booked you at the Holiday Inn which is closer to our Center and where our students are staying as well." However, when I contacted the Quality Inn last week to ask for a refund of the $2000 payment I made to stay there, they claimed that they officially cut all ties with the ***** Success Academy on 7/4/2020 because of not receiving funds they were owed. In fact, they claimed that they had to *** the ***** Success Academy in order to get funds that were never paid. If I want to use the hotel stay that I purchased, the ***** Success Academy claims I need to contact them and cannot contact the hotel directly. This to me is not acceptable because I do not have the freedom to use my funds as they were intended and they are refusing a refund.I am contacting the BBB to ask for my $2500 back at the minimum. I understand I may not get the other $3147 paid for the course but I do not believe that a business should keep my money that was intended for another business, especially when I never used the hotel stay at all.
