I took my sons PS5 into ********** on 2/22/25 because it would power on and immediately power off. I called prior to going to the business and talked to the owner and let him know the issue he said its a short. When I took it in he plugged it up and saw what it was doing and said its a power issue and would be $189 to fix. I told him okay and he gave me an invoice which I still gave. After not getting an update I called on day 4 and was told they are still working on it. After a week and a half of them having the console and my additional updates I called and was told it couldnt be fixed and I could pick it up anytime. On the day I went to pick it up the owner pulled out an invoice that had the original numbers scratched out and he wrote diagnostic fee of $49 on it. I was never told if it couldnt be fixed there would be a $49 fee. That fee is not listed on the invoice I was given anywhere. If I would have been informed upfront that it was a chance it could not be fixed and if not I would have been charged $49 I would not have done business with this company. The owner made it seem like he knew exactly what was wrong and never said its a chance it may not be fixable.

She dropped off her PS5 and typically it is a $49 diagnostic fee.  I didn't charge the $149 because it wasn't fixable.  Any where you go a business charges for their time.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

The diagnostic fee is blank in the invoice I was given. Business owner did not state upfront or even prior to picking up the console that there would be a fee. If I would have known upfront I would have looked around to compare prices. Business has hidden fees! Check the invoice provided.

    Sincerely,

I got my son Xbox fixed here on or around Dec 6 and he had it for a few days he didn’t use it until his new tv arrived which was in the 8 we call company back and explained issue owner said bring it in I said maybe Monday so I was tired from working so I took it on 12/12/23 before then after plugging up game didn’t come on and we notice the HDMI part was loose we call the shop he said bring it in I set on the parking lot for awhile catching up with some email. The owner of ifixgadget sent a text, stated that they can’t fix the game under warranty because it looks like customer damage it by dropping and he sure 90 % may have drop the game. The owner wanted me to pay another $160. I believe the game was rush throw it to fix it and also after reviewing some of the reviews seems like this maybe a common practice. Also kept the hdmi port and left the port empty

I brought my ************ up there to be cleaned. It worked fine for a couple weeks then stopped working. I called up there to see how the warranty works. The guy never replied until a few days later. He gets really rude when I try to talk to him about my ************. The guy told me I'm not allowed on the property. I just want to get my ************ repaired. I'm out $500 and neither one works.

I was sick for a week because I had Covid.  I told him I'm sick, I don't care, I'm not going to open my shop because I'm sick.  He calls trying to intimidate me by calling a police officer.  I told him he was not welcome in my shop anymore and that was it.  I don't care what he says, it's my business and I don't open a shop to accommodate the customer.  He is not welcome in my property, he is not allowed in my shopping center period.  It is his fault.  I don't want to be contacted by the *** anymore regarding this complaint.
