About June of 2021 I contracted above party to build me a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 2 car garage unfinished basement home in a central IL.We agreed on said price .about 50 percent into the project he bailed out ,saying he needed more money and quit working on my house .I had to finish my own plumbing ,finish laying my kitchen floor, put in my kitchen cabinets and sinks ,also bathroom cabinets and sinks,he had the wrong furnace and air conditioning unit installed that didnt cool or heat the structure I had to purchase a new one .There was no insulation put in the attic. He didnt build my front porch or lie any of the concrete work outside of the home .He didnt finish painting or finish trimming the walls. The washer dryer spot was to small for 2 full size units to sit side by side. After the signed agreed amount was gone he just quit.Id like to take him to court but thats another amount of money I dont have .I am a senior citizen and if nothing else but to warn others out there esp. seniors : that is why Id like to get this complaint out there .

All permits, subcontractors, work performed, A.C. Unit and Furnace had to be and were approved by the City of Rantoul, IL.  Blueprints were also approved however we were made to tear down remaining of.old garage due to being to close to property line. Building a new garage or basement was not included in the consumer's Insurance Claim , yet we built both. The consumer's Insurance was only willing to pay to fix the old garage. When told the city made us tear down; we were told we'd receive extra money for Building the new and for pouring the basement of which we didn't receive nor did we receive the remaining balance of $9,000.00. All Insurance checks were written to the consumer.  Building a front porch and pouring concrete outside of the home are not in the contract. Insulation was installed and painting and trim work were completed. The flooring for the kitchen was there. A small space needed to be completed but couldn't until his cabinet was put in. The consumer approved the space for the washer and dryer. The plumbing issue the consumer is referring to is the water line that runs from house to alley to connect to city sewer line. When inspected by the city, using a camera to run through the line a small Crack was located just at the connecting point and the consumer was told by the city, he was responsible for fixing. The consumer told us that he would take care of it his self because of the high cost to hire someone so plumbing couldn't go forward until that issue was fixed and that was not in the contract.  I to am a Senior Citizen and do not practice in taking advantage of others nor have I in the past.  ***** ********* *************************
