I've changed to an employer benefit for the current month. Anytime Fitness management at the local and regional level is refusing to honor and accept the employer agreement saying they only get $4.00

    Hello,

We expressed to ******* that a 2-year contract was signed on July 20th, 2023 with Anytime Fitness in *************, ********. ******* came in in about a month ago to request to change through his insurance/employer benefit` but what we think he does not understand is that a contract was signed at Anytime Fitness first without knowing his employer offered this program. Since he is already an active member in the anytime fitness database you can not have two existing accounts and will have to wait for his contract to be over. We are happy to end other the contract if needed that was signed by ***************

    Best,

    Abby

I have maintained a membership with Anytime Fitness since November of 2021. I recently started having infusions in my back for chronic pain in my back and legs. I reached out to the parent company for Anytime ***** and was told to contact the club directly. I spoke with a manager ******** I have 6 months remaining in my contract and I was told that I would have to present medical records to the club to cancel my membership. I refuse to give my personal health information to a health club. I work in the medical insurance field and I do not have a comfort level of just sending files, etc to end a membership that only has 6 months left. Nor do I feel that there cannot be some consideration in this effort. I have spoken with someone else who said main a letter requesting to end my membership, however, they weren't sure of the procedure. I am frustrated and do not want to have to continue to make payments to a club I am unable to utilize for some time.

    Hello,

My name is *********************, I am the manager at Anytime Fitness in *************, **. Per our written agreement contracts, members are able to cancel their memberships if they provide satisfactory evidence to the club if they become disabled. With that, I had offered this option to accommodate and sympathize to her needs, but required satisfactory evidence to prove the situation. She was not happy that we were willing to cancel to her contract even though this policy/option does not apply to her situation, as ****** stated, she is experiencing chronic back pain. Her contract agreement may be requested at any time by ****** if she wishes to read the terms and conditions for our memberships. Once we receive satisfactory evidence we can terminate the contract agreement accordingly.

    Best,

I am rejecting this response because:
I explained to *************** I am having infusions on my back and could not even get to the facility.   The blanket statement she made regarding the contract may well be accurate however I asked for consideration and thought I was able to communicate with a corporate person to assist.  I work in the health care industry and do not want to release my PHI to a individually owner facility.
    Sincerely,

    ***********************

    Hello,

The health club has decided to cancel *********************** membership effective 5/29/23. Information regarding ******'s inability to workout will no longer be needed nor will fees be applied.

    Kind Regards,
