    On August 29,2023 I notified Ashland Propane of propane leak on a 500-gallon tank. when I returned tank of by the valve the tank was at 10% . On August 30,2023 staff came to my home to replace a defective propane tank regulator. I questioned them about a refund on the lost propane due to the defective regulator, The last tank was filled prior to the incident was on3/31/23. The propane is only used for heating. After regulator change propane was added and now it's at 65%. I would like to be refunded for the lost propane. I have a standing credit at Ashland Propane but they want to use my standing credit to replace my lost propane. The technician that came to the house wrote on his report that the regulator was defective, and he performed a leak test.

    Ashland Propane did receive a call from the customer.  We responded and had completed the repair within a day.  There was a very small leak which was repaired and tested to insure it was completed. 

    The previous fill to this tank was on 3/31. There was no leak or issue at this time.   The customer used gas through May as confirmed by his wife who came in to prebuy more fuel for the upcoming year.  She also apologized for him getting so upset and thanked us for everything.  

    Based on the fact that we responded very quickly, the leak was later in the summer , and the fact that they used gas and had no leaked when the tank was filled in March, we do not see that he lost much if any fuel.  Plus thats almost impossible to determine.  While we understand he is concerned, we have done our best to be responsive to them.  Also we had no further indication of any issues when his wife came in to purchase more propane for the upcoming heating season.  She did, in fact, apologize.
