I rec'd an estimate for painting my house from Al Baiter who owns Baiter Painting, ********************************************************************, ph ************. I signed an estimate and in the estimate it states the customer may cancel the project within three days of accepting the estimate by emailing us. I contacted him by phone and stated it does not show he is insured. He said he was. I asked him to put in this in the ************* refused. I asked him for a copy of his ************** became angry. I contacted him many times regarding insurance. He stated he would get the *** and bring it to me. Never happened. I contacted him again over the phone, he said the insurance company will email to me. I told him I never received it. I told him I would not go forward with anything until I receive a copy of insurance. We had several conversations regarding the insurance copy, at one point he told me to call his ins. company, ******* Ins. I told him I could not go forward without a copy of the ins. because he was going to spray paint my house but I live very close to my neighbor's house & didn't want overspray issues. This is why I want to see ***.6/18/24 Baiter called me to tell me he was coming tomorrow to power wash the house. I said no, I did not get a copy of his insurance. He told me he would push my date back on his schedule. Again, I told him I would not let him work on my house until I receive a copy of insurance.6/19/24 I was not at home, and he had a crew at my house. I immediately called him & told him we agreed he would not start work until I received the copy of insurance. He said I should have a copy by now. I checked my email again, even ***** *** do not. I told him I did not want my house painted and he said that's fine with him. I rec'd an invoice for $326.00 for contract cancellation. I went to the police to make a report. They called him but he didnt answer. He will not speak to me - only texts. Please help me with this scam of a business. I should not have to pay.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/21/2024

6/20/24 I paid Mr. ******************** in cash of $326.00 in the presence of a policeman.  I asked him to sign a receipt that stated he is in receipt of payment in full, him & I would be released of all future claims.

Before I met Mr. ******************** he sent me a copy of his insurance. I believe he had it all the time. But when I asked to see his insurance he became angry and treated me  rude ever since. I believe he had no intention of painting the exterior of house. What company doesn't give the customer what they ask for? What company hangs up on his customer? Mr. ********************** has no business practices.

There is a report filed with the ***** ***************** when his crew showed up at my house on 6/19/24, without permission because I told Mr. ******************** - no -  the night before. The *** has all his information and I was told to contact them if I have any intimidation, property damage or retaliation from him or his crew.
