    Midas had my car over 3 months, waiting on an ignition electrical part. They worked on the car, I pick it up to find out the stereo and all my belongings were stolen out of the car on Midas lot. They left my car unlocked! I made a police report 9n scene, cop inspected other vehicles in their custody and they were also left unlocked! Midas also installed a new battery because they said it wouldn't start from sitting so long there. So I paid an additional amount for the new battery. Now my car will not hold a charge, I have to jump start it everyday! I do not want my car in their care because i dont trust them! I would just like a refund so i can have it properly repaired by a good mechanic!

    The vehicle was locked on our lot for the entire duration while waiting on the parts from the dealer. Once the part arrived we pulled the vehicle into our shop and repaired the needed items. We swapped out the battery per the discussion with the customer of his issues and had no problems starting his car. We finished the work and the customer came to pay. We had moved the vehicle out of our shop and provided him his keys at time of payment. The customer requested leaving his vehicle on our lot u til he was able to pick it up. We agreed and when the car was parked and at that point nothing was missing. The customer was in possession of the keys for the vehicle when he claims the said items went missing. I advised if anything was indeed missing he could work with the local police department but we left the vehicle on the lot secured the entire time we had the vehicle, per our policy he would be responsible for anything left in the vehicle and as for the missing radio he was in possession of the keys when he is stating the radio went missing. 

    Lastly, the customer is stating the repair work we had performed was not completed correctly but the vehicle was brought in being unable to start but he was able to start and drive his vehicle because his ignition had failed and the the key would not turn. Once we replaced the ignition he was able to drive it fine.

     I am rejecting this response because: The person responding to this is lying! I filed a police report on scene with the *********** Police Department. Upon the officers investigation, he noticed several other cars on midas lot, in their custody being worked on, unlocked as well! I am waiting on the foia request from the *********** Police Department, I will send it in once I receive it. If the buisiness says my car was robbed on their lot between the hours of 5pm and 7 pm when I went back to get it,  then the camera hanging off their building pointing straight at my car obviously would have caught the act!! Mysteriously they have no footage? I feel they are lying to cover up the fact either an employee of theirs stole my radio, boxing gloves, fishing gear, and 250$ shoes, just in case they forgot that part, or they are just negligent in leaving vehicles unlocked and vulnerable! Everything that's missing, iincluding the value of the items..are in the Police report also that i will be sendin in. My car is also currently sitting waiting to be fixed again because after a jump apart it WILL NOT RUN!!!!!

    Hi, we are unable to come to terms with this customer. We have offered an explanation, we have no way to verify the missing items were in the vehicle, the vehicle was not in our possession when the missing items were reported. Nothing further we are willing to do to resolve.

     I am rejecting this response because:
    As far as the theft they are trying to cover up, i attatched the police report that includies the missing items, including their value. I expect to know more of what's wrong with my car they were supposed to fix. They did not do the work right, as my car will bot run!! Once I can afford another mechanic I will have it fixed properly, but since I spent 1600$ on a job not done correctly at Midas, it now sits!!! I expect a full refund!!! I contacted my attorney, if they do not resolve these issues in a timely manner, we will proceed in litigation.

    My car needed a repair due to the passenger’s side heat stopped working. I called Midas to schedule an appointment for a diagnostic test to figure out what needed to be fixed. The mechanic informed me that I needed to purchase a water pump to get the heat to work on the passenger side. Once they repaired my vehicle I picked it up from their shop and when I turned on my engine the check engine light was on. I immediately called Midas back and they suggested I needed a time and change replacement any time the water pump gets replaced. They informed me that they did complete a 36 point inspection and the coil needed to be replaced. I agreed for them to replace the coil and I paid another deductible to my warranty company. I retrieved my vehicle from Midas for a second time and the check engine light was still on and the problem was worsening. The mechanic ***** was very rude to my partner and lied about what they did to fix the vehicle and even price gauging the labor and parts. The mechanic lied and told me that only a Ford dealership can fix the problem and the refused to give me my deductible back for the coil that did not fix my car issue. I have tried to complain with corporate and even asked to speak with the regional manager *****. No one has contacted me about this terrible experience. I would like to get my money back due to them not completely fixing my vehicle and misleading me about what the mechanic did to figure what was the true cause of the issue. I have paid over $500 dollars to Midas for them to misrepresent what happened to my vehicle after getting it looked at by them for 3 consecutive days. Their business standards are horrible and I would like to be compensated for their lack of integrity.
