    On May 13 2023, Mr **** and I entered into a contract to complete a tile job that included my master bathroom, landing at bottom of steps and flooring(tile) for a 5x5 bathroom. He started the work a few days later. He showed up alone, when he said he’s have two other people helping with the work. I initially paid a deposit and then finagled payment before he went on vacation with the him telling me he’d show up after his vacation the Date of payment was June 9 2023. He instructed me to mark all the spots that needed fixing. I did so, by putting green tape on every spot of his tile spot. This included tiles that were loose, areas where not enough of grout was installed, terrible spots of offset and uneven schluetter pieces in the niches and around window and trim. The tile lines weren’t straight, tiles were popping, the drain to the shower was broke and the list of issues continued. I was told(all by way of text messages that he would be back very soon. When it was time for him to finish the job he had a “bank card that was frozen, a credit card that was compromised and no money in his bank account to drive to my home. I went so far as to offer to pay for his gas, but he told me He wasn’t going to leave his house until he had the money! After several other attempts, he blocked me on his phone and on social media. What he wasn’t aware was that a stone can look at his pages and see that he was now completing several other jobs, despite not having enough money. I hired a lawyer to send a 10 day demand letter, which he ignored. I then called the police, and they came to the house and called him from their phone- the litany of lies and excuses, even questioning the officer several times why he was involved bc he felt it was a civil case. This guy is a a liar and a thief and deserves to be prosecuted for home repair fraud and predatory actions that continue with many many people! Please stay away from *** **** and JL flooring, as he will rip you off!

    Mr. ***** (or mr List, depending on what he decides to put his name as) came out to my salon to install an epoxy floor. We had several conversations about the expectations and how it would be done. We had to close our business down for 3 days for this installation. When we were able to get into the salon and see the results of the installation, we realized that the epoxy flooring had not been installed properly in the salon. There are areas in rooms with no epoxy at all, hallways with half the epoxy installed, and areas that the floor was layed thick enough, but the floors weren't prepped properly before the epoxy was laid and there are chunks and debris left in the floor from not being swept or removed properly. 75% of the installation was done incorrectly. There are areas where it was applied so thin that the epoxy is popping up already. Mr. *****, (List) was informed immediately that this was not done correctly and needed to be fixed. He agreed that the installation was not correct and that he should have "checked his guy's work". He was to come back and fix the floor. After almost 2 months of excuses and no-shows, he has now resorted to blocking our phone calls after repeatedly saying he'd be out This day, or That day, and never followed through. The cost to fix this horrible floor in a BUSINESS - not someone's home - is going to be even more than I initially paid to have it done, including lost revenues due to the business being closed down again. I expect a full and complete refund for the entire project and if that is not the immediate response, we will proceed with full legal action.
