    Hotels pool and brewery common area was closed when we went to the room and showered the bathroom was dirty they had roaches crawling all up the wall, and on the counter by the microwave I went to the front desk to complain, and the employee said they had to come check the room out. He came and walked around the room and said he didn’t see any roaches after the fact that we had killed two or three roaches within 35 minutes of checking in the room he told us that he couldn’t refund us because he wasn’t a manager and that we would have to wait till the next morning, he tried giving us another room and we went to check that room out and the beds weren’t made and it was all over the bed and the windows seal and on the floor like the room hadn’t been clean in weeks we called to talk to a manager and the employee that answered the phone was rude. She stated that the manager was on vacation and she couldn’t do anything and she will write our name and number down .

    This place is JUNK. My wife and I walked in and dealt with a front desk gentlemen who was nice. We went to our room and immediately turned around, went to the desk and asked for a refund. We were told “come back tomorrow and talk to the manager.” My wife and I came back the next day, mind you we booked 2 nights and weren’t even there for 10 minutes. We asked the manager about the refund and she said “absolutely not.” My wife and I didn’t know what to say, so we just turned around and walked out. I lost $175. We have tried contacting everyone we can and we have not gotten our money back. This place is disgusting. From the smells whenever you’re walking in the hallways, to the people loitering outside, the stained carpet, tv almost off the wall, holes in the lamp shades, and the bathroom looking like if you got in the shower you’d be more dirty than before. The manager is not professional as she basically yelled at my pregnant wife. She was also cussing as we were walking out. We were in *********** to attend a funeral, and this is the last thing we wanted to deal with. The pictures posted on their website and online is not accurate at all. They had no breakfast and the pool wasn’t even operating. The fire department showed up and said they’ve been coming there regularly. This place needs to be shut down. Save your money, and time. Do NOT stay here. JUNK

    The other reviews are true. This was a horrible place to stay. We were there one night on 8/18/23. No breakfast as advertised. Sign said pool was closed but manager said to swim anyways but not to take down the sign. Strange chemical film on the pool surface. Hottub is misnomer, barely tepid enough to be considered bathwater! Front desk staff are everything from useless to apathetic to rude and hostile. Toilet ran continuously all night. We requested a credit to compensate for our having to buy breakfast and were told to talk to the other manager. They said we already were getting a discount at $153 a night for this place. We complained to the 800 customer service line and they provided an email so we could upload photos. We were documenting this abysmal condition when the manager told us we were forbidden from taking photos and no one from customer service would believe our claims as she would say we were lying. She gave us five minutes to vacate the premises. We were in our room packing to leave when the staff kept banging on our room door in a threatening manner. Then after a few minutes all the electricity in our room went off. As we were leaving there was power everywhere else. This was intentional harassment. We tried to escape without further conflict but the back fire door was locked and would not open!! This was the worst unprofessional behavior from management i have ever experienced at a hotel. Please investigate the health and safety violations immediately

    Baymont by Wyndham Hotel at 5871 S Sixth Road, Springfield IL, 62793 in my opinion is a terrible place to stay, and needs a health inspector checking on this facility!
    We were there Saturday 7/15/23, and it was cringe-worthy.
    ROOM 202
    Our room was dirty, had mold, water stained ceiling, holes in the wall, tissue plugging up the door peep hole, window lock missing, hair and tissue stuck in the sink drain, and peeling paint.
    Other issues…Website advertised-
    “Free Breakfast”…Nope?!
    “Swimming Pool”…Not open until 3:00pm daily?!
    “Ice Machine”…Broken!

    Wish I could give this dump a negative star rating. Terrible hotel. No breakfast, Desk clerk said that a pipe broke and they were waiting to get it fixed. Looking back through their reviews many comments made over last several months that breakfast was not available due to a variety of reasons. It's apparent that they just do not offer a breakfast and make up different excuses.
    Room 102 stunk! I mean that it had a strong smell of wet carpet and wet dog. Toilet would not flush. They would not provide a different room so we left. Clerk said she could not authorize a refund and to contact the manager the next morning. Left messages for return call that never came and I'm probably not getting my refund for a room that should not have been rented due to a lack of required sanitation.
    Travelers beware! Do not even consider this hotel unless you ask to see the room before paying.
