I'm unsure of the date but in July of 2024 I ordered glasses with this place. At the time I was an employee and purchased it under a pair of glasses I was entitled to with my job position. Per every order regarding patient or employee you get a 1 year unconditional warranty for the ***** and lenses. I have not been employed with them since November of 2024. On 6/19/25, o reached out through 5heir text messaging system requesting a new pair of glasses under my warranty since the lenses were scratched abd frame was damaged. At first I was notified that the order will be completed. But a ****** while later I received a message stating the CEO, *** *******, denied my replacement pair. Even though I am entitled per the warranty with their company. And since I worked for this company, I know with the frame representative it would be no cost to the company with a replacement as long as they have the damaged frame to send back. I also knoe the lab that makes the lenses provide a 1-2 year warranty on their lenses. So other than just being an ex employee,im not sure why I cannot get my replacement glasses when it costs nothing to the company.

      Business Response

      *******,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is ******, and I am the Chief Operating Officer of Performance Eyecare. I wanted to respond directly to your concerns regarding the eyewear you received while employed with our organization.
In July 2024, you received a pair of glasses at no cost to you under our internal employee benefits program. This benefit, including any associated warranties, is tied directly to active employment status. As outlined in our internal policy, employee benefits conclude at the time of termination. This includes not only eyewear coverage but also other employment-related perks such as health insurance, paid time off, and access to employee pricing or warranty support.
The one-year unconditional warranty you referenced is part of our retail warranty program, which applies exclusively to patient purchases. Glasses received under employee benefits are not considered retail purchases and are not eligible for post-employment warranty services. While we understand your note regarding vendor coverage and replacement costs, our decision is not based on expense. It is based on eligibility and ensuring our policies are applied consistently to all current and former employees.

If you have additional questions or would like to discuss this matter further, you are welcome to contact me directly at ************************************************************.

      Thank you,

      ****** *******, COO

Per the Handbook and my offer letter I'veattached, nowhere does it state a warranty would be voided if I'm no longer employed there. I am entitled to a warranty like everyone else.

      Sincerely,
