    We paid Midas $10,600 to replace a motor in our pickup truck. After the swap, the engine was giving us problems. Midas tried to identify the issue, but could not. We brought the truck to another shop they proceeded with an additional $4,000 repair to replace catalytic converters that Midas stated did not need to be replaced- but they did. Issue continued, was contacted with the franchises GM- ***** ****** with *******************************. ***** had their ******** location look at the truck- they replaced a computer system , complimentary as an attempt to make things right. After this, it still was not running properly, stalling at intersections, idling lower and acting up-not safe or reliable too drive after $14,000+ in repairs. ***** recommended that we reached out to ***** for a second opinion. ***** discovered that the wrong computer was installed to get this fixed it would be $1,800-$2,000. Both *****'s service manager and myself reached out to *****. ***** let us know that they are refusing to cover the charges to install the correct computer stating that the computer needed to be replaced anyways. Which the correct computer should have been installed in the first place. They are refusing to make their error correct and we are stuck paying even more because of their incompetence to fix the truck the right way the first time or atleast make it right the second time or third time. We did not ask for reimbursements or for the loss of revenue we have experienced due to not being able to use our truck consistently since the Fall of 2024, we simply asked them to pay to cover the installation of the correct computer- however, they refuse. At this point, we are requesting they cover the approximate $2,000 to get the proper computer installed, the full diagnostics charge from ***** and the $4,000 we paid to get the cat. converters switched as they failed to do this. If they do not follow through, we will seek avenues to obtain reimbursement for the faulty repair.

    On August 4, 2022I took my car to Midas muffler in sycamore ********. They recharge my AC on my 2013 ***** sonic. They charged me $164 and change to this. I am 72 years old and live on social security that hundred and $164Was my money to live on for the month.3 weeks later my AC again blew hot air I called JC the manager of Midas muffler and told him my problem he told me to bring car in on September 6, 2022 at that time I waited about ********************************************************************************************************************** $850 to repair and replace.. I told him It might as well be $1,000,000 to me. I thought about this when I got home and called my son he told me that they should have discovered the leak at the time that they recharge the system and charge me the money.... I filed a complaint with Midas corporate And was given a claim number and received a call back in about 2 hours from a man named ***. You told me the same thing as the original manager ** told me Which was basically 2 bad for you We did not discuss to link at the time of the charge It happened in the 3 weeks since I received the recharge and there was nothing that they could do about this. I feel that for them to charge me $164 for 3 weeks of AC Was outrageous And that I felt I should be offered some sort And that I felt I should be offered some sort of restitution of my $164 and was told that There was nothing that they would be giving me back that there was no like when I brought it in So now I'm out the $164And have no AC. I see my doctor every month Who is ***************************************************** a car that Is that hot. I'm hoping that you can help me with this in some way and also I would like this to go on there record as to what they did to senior citizen. I hope to hear from you soon because I know that I was not treated fairly because I am just an old woman and no nothing about cars

    talked to ************* about the recharge of her ac explained to her that we didnt find any leaks at this time. we told her that we put a dye in the ac and to bring it back with in 30 days for us to check.three weeks later al eak developed and we told her the condenser has small leak.gave her a price and told her we would rechage ac at no charge. she wants a refund.

    I am rejecting this response because:they told me nothing about bringing back to insert dye to check for leaks I assumed since they charged me $164 dollars they should have checked for leaks. These people are just. sneaky and take advantage of a senior citizen especially since I was a woman alone. However I don't want anymore dealings with these people I hope they enjoy my money. I learned a ****** re: Midas Muffler. So please just let them laugh at ripping me off. Tell them to keep the money and sleep well . They Win

    ************* camein for a ac recharge . we recharged it put a dye in incase there is ***** told her to come back with in 30 days for us to check after three weeks a leak developed and it now needs a condenser. she wants a refund.  offered to recharge for free after ac condenser is done she refused.
