    I purchased a solar generator and battery backup. When I needed them after the hurricane I found that they didn't work. The company wouldn't even respond until I tried to get discover to reverse the charges. They finally emailed me and said that I was supposed to drain and charge them every 3 months. I didn't see anything in the set up instructions about that and based on my experience in trying to charge them it would have been time consuming and impractical in the winter months. It should have been clearly communicated that it needed to be done and if I would have known I certainly would not have purchased that brand in the first place.

    As you can see in the attachment that i provided, that information was clearly mentioned  in the user manual.  If batteries are not properly maintained they will go bad. That goes for any kind of batteries and any product they are used in.  You can try using a trickle charger on the batteries to see if that will help them take a charge.  Otherwise since the batteries were not maintained new batteries will need to be purchased. So sorry.

    I am rejecting this response because: It was not clearly stated that the batteries needed to be drained and charged every 3 months it was on page 8 of a manual that was hidden face down in a sleeve behind a sales brochure.  What was apparent was a picture diagram of how to set up which I tried out when I got it. Satisfied that I new how to use it I then put it back in the box until disaster struck and I was left powerless.

    We have no other response. The proof was submitted yesterday that the manual clearly states the information the customer is asking about. No matter where in the shipment the manual was, with a purchase of this magnitude the manual should have been read when the shipment arrived.

    I am rejecting this response because: I was unaware that the manual was even there until a company rep pointed out that the instructions about draining and charging were in the supposed manual which I then found after going through everything. Since I wasn't buying add-ons I had no reason to even look there initially.

    I purchased a Solar Generator kit on April 6, 2023 and received a confirmation email the same day. I have been unable to communicate with them ever since. I did receive my order with two deliveries after three weeks. Both deliveries were proceeded with an email notice of shipment. After the email notices, the product was delivered in three days. Second delivery included solar panel cart. The shipping sheet referenced an internet link to an instructional video to assemble the cart. This link immediately tried to install ransomware on my computer, I had to unplug the power supply and remove my system disk to stop it. WARNING: This link my attack your computer: ****************************. The cart materials have many "L" brackets made of steel and are not weather proofed in any visible manner and I believe will start to rust within weeks. Not a good material for something intended for outdoor use. I trusted this company because it was brought to my attention through (offthegridnews.com) and have successfully purchased from Off the Grid before. Based on other BBB complaints of this company, which also indicate lack of communication and customer service, I recommend the *** rate this company at it's lowest possible rating and make it clear that customers should steer clear of powerfulliving.com and www.mysolarbackup.com. If the *** can do more, such as stop or close down the websites, I believe it would be doing as good service for the ******** consumer.

    Ordered Blue Green ****** Booster on 7/7/22 No order confirmation email. No response to 5 emails to ***************************************************** No response to 5 phone calls to ************ (number recorded by Discover as their business phone number) Very rude voice message saying they don't have staff to cover their sales and to email them. But they never responded to 5 emails. I went to site and hit "contact us" button. Messaged them 4x that way. I tried to check my "order" on their site. There was no record of my order but my Discover card was charged 7/7/22 for $24.95 plus $6.95 **** shipping for total of $31.90. No one has responded to me yet I still get emailed to buy more products from them. But they can't communicate with me about my order? I DO NOT WANT THEIR PRODUCT! I DO NOT TRUST THEM. I WANT FULL REFUND OF $31.90 AND THEY BETTER NOT CHARGE ME SNEAKY RECURRING CHARGES!!! BAD BAD BAD COMPANY!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR

    I have responded to her emails, for some reason she is not getting them. We are closed on weekends so we do not ship or respond to emails then either.  The customers order was shipped out yesterday and she was also sent tracking information via email.  I forwarded her my response email and responded to her again this AM.  The tracking number for her order is,  USPS 9405511298370651907224 and is due to deliver to her tomorrow.

    *************************** What she didn't tell you is I've been requesting a response since 7/7/22 when I purchased item. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAIL OR TEXT CONFIRMING MY ORDER. I called, emailed, used "contact button" numerous times for 11 days. In business today you received prompt acknowledgement of order placed. I received NOTHING FOR 11 DAYS!!! My info also didn't appear on their site as an order placed. There was no record of my order anywhere except for the screenshots I took thank goodness. I DO NOT want this product. Kind of "convenient" it's now been shipped after I did all this attempts at communicating. Their voice mail message is also very unprofessional. Says in rude tone of voice they're too bust to help customers because there aren't enough people staffed. Well something has to give because 11 days of no record of my order except the charge on my credit card is very upsetting and ridiculous. At the very very least send customer timely acknowledgement of order received. Very simple solution!!!
