I had the Dillman Brothers come out to install a roof vent and hook up my bathroom fan. They charged me $400. When I went to check the work afterwards, I saw the roof vent looked ok but the hose from the bathroom fan was left with a ziptie creating a kink in it, the insulation was not attached to the roof, and there were holes in the hose. If I had not noticed, my bathroom would have been venting straight into the attic which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. The water would have condensed and pooled and gone back through my ceiling over time. I therefore do not consider the job completed as agreed. I had to get another contractor in to fix the problems.
I contacted Dillman via email and asked for a partial refund. They never responded. I called them, they said they would call me back, they never did. I called again, and finally the person who did the job called me back and said he would talk to his managers and see what they could do and promised to call me back. I never heard from him again. I called Dillman again, and the office manager asked me to send pictures. I sent pictures. It's been a week I haven't heard from them. In total, I spent two months trying to resolve this matter amicably and I am realizing they have no intention of making this right.
I feel it's important for potential future customers to know that if a job isn't done correctly, they will not return your money or be clear with you about that. I hope this helps the next person.

Dillmamn Brothers Did my neighbors roof last Wednesday. They had a mess all over my yard and I complained about it and appeared that no one on the job site spoke English. They wouldn't acknowledge me when asking for a manager or anyone to talk to. And then called the office got someone and they gave me a number of Jon. He assured me they would clean up their mess. They cleaned up 85% of it leaving me with a 5 gallon bucket of plastic, shingles, nails, and other trash covering from the shingles and over 150 nails and that was only cleaning up a 3 x 3 area I still have another 25' x 10' to clean up who knows what I'm going to find. The manager or whatever Jon is to that company wanted to start name-calling rather than have a conversation when he arrived. This isn't the kind of company I would want to do business with and since it appeared, no one on the job site spoke English are these men Americans or are they undocumented workers taking work away from Americans? I didn't see the workers wearing any safety equipment. It looked like they just had two hemp type ropes slung over the roof and doesn't seem appropriate or safe to me. I don't know what insurance or that would think of it, but I would be interested to know. Yeah I certainly lay down and hold any bad feelings towards my neighbor. They hired a long-term highly rated from what I see on BBB so I would've thought they would've been more considered and done a much better job.

First of all, this is not a customer of ours, it is a neighbor and the houses are approximately 15' apart. While we give every attempt to keep a jobsite organized and clean, the elements of nature and site conditions sometimes cause issues, it was a 14/12 pitch roof, and there were 15mph winds the day our crew completed his neighbors house, incidentally the crew does speak English, and we do not hire undocumented workers.  Our crews are told, if anyone approaches them on a jobsite. they are to refer them to the office and not engage in conversation. Mr Sidell was given our office information and told that when the crew was done, they would do a final clean up and take care of the debris at that time.  It is my understanding that Mr Sidell called the police because he wanted things picked up immediately, but since they were continuing to work it was essentially pointless.  Also, it may be noted, that Mr Sidell had a tripod with video camera recording our crew, which he did not have their consent to be recording and created a hostile working environment for our crew.   He may also want to refer to:  (720 ILCS 5/26-4) (from Ch. 38, par. 26-4)
