    Last October, FeldKamp towed my motorhome from ********* **** **** to **** **** in indianapolis. In order to tow, they had to remove the driveshart. We arrived at the Motorhome shortly after the driver did - he was underneath pounding away at something with a large hammer. No mention of problem was made and the driver hooked up and left for Indy. **** informed us that the rear axle yoke (part that connects the drive shaft to the transaxle was damaged beyond usability and must be replaced along with the U-Joint as parts were missing. The cost of these repairs was $1146.90. I have been in contact with the owner at (****************** and by phone). He no longer responds my my queries and has no paid. I still have the damaged yoke.

    Before we towed the motorhome, the customer previously had towed on a Flatbed which unfortunately caused damage to the motorhome.  A motorhome should NOT be transported on a Flatbed.  The customer provided pics of the damage caused by the Flatbed tow.  Our email account is "************************" NOT "******************"; therefore, we have never received any emails from customer.   We strive to provide excellent customer service!!

     I am rejecting this response because:


    Motorhome was driven on flatbed BY US, for first leg of trip. That driver did damage transmission mount. There was some confusion when I first contacted Feldkamp but we straightened that out. The Feldkamp driver used a sledgehammer to remove the driveshaft from and damaged the transaxle yoke in the process. He was beating the crap out of it when we arrived on scene. The drive shaft was never removed by anyone else, ever. The damage was caused by a careless driver of Feldkamp.

    Most driveshafts have to be removed with a hammer or with some sort of force.  We didn't receive pictures when the damage was done.  The customer and dealer fixed the customer's motorhome when they should've contacted us prior to fixing it so we could all be on the same page.  Also, prior to us towing it, another tow company winched it on a trailer at the cross-member which caused damaged to the cross-member and other components of the RV.  We knew nothing about any damage to the RV until the customer send invoices of the damages for everything.  Once we talked to the customer, we found out someone else towed it prior to us.  The customer had an incorrect email for us; therefore we were unable to communicate with the customer.

     I am rejecting this response because:1. Feldkamp keeps bringing up the transmission mount which has nothing to do with this claim.  He is not being charged for that because it is a completely separate issue (that was confused in the beginning).

    2.  Yes, a hammer is often used when dislodging a universal joint.  It is properly used to hit a punch or old socket so that the hammer NEVER contacts the expensive parts.  Feldkamps driver savagely beat on the transaxle yoke, crushing a threaded hole - this is CLEARLY visible in the pictures provided.  Yes,  Feldkamp I have removed my share of u-joints.

    3.  I feel no obligation to contact  Feldkamp prior to approving repairs.  We are no MONTHS into this arguement and I needed my motorhome back as quickly as possible.  I got **** parts and **** approved repair which is what I would have insisted upon from the beginning so I see no reason I should have sought  Feldkaps "approval" to repair the damage caused by his driver.

    Its as simple as this.  His driver carelessly damaged my motorhome.  Feldkamp needs to write a check.

    Contacted tow company for a service based off a referral
    Company tells us 275 an hour I paid for services
    1000 more then the services was told.
    Said fuel surcharge which wasn’t included into the first conversation.
    Refused to pay back or cancel and charge original amount of 6 hours of serviced at 275 an hour .
    Total bill was 2549.25 should have been 1650 I do not recommend this company.

    Service call was billed based on $275 per hour; given weather and road conditions it was originally billed at 7.5 hours plus fuel surcharges; which is a standard given the rising cost of fuel. After several conversations, a lower price was agreed upon and a credit was given to the customer. The customer was satisfied with the agreed price.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
    The owner was very responsive towards my issue and refunded a credit to my account. He did everything he could to help rectify the situation as soon as he heard about the situation .
