    I am rejecting this response because:

    A) No one (whether the auction manager or anyone else) advised me to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for the issue.  In fact, the only thing that that happened was that on Friday, November 25, 2022, I called myself and spoke with a young lady (who had a child at the dealership [as she told me in person only a few hours prior --- her child was born 8/31]).  I told her I called "arbitration" but after I recorded a message and attempted to leave it, voicemail said it was full and call was disconnected.  I told the young lady regarding the numerous issues with **** Acura MDX vehicle including that it was not road-safe and that the Acura dealership I brought the car to had several concerns why such a vehicle was auctioned off (Acura dealership in ************, **).  She told me someone named *****/****** (?) starts work at 10 AM and will call me the next day (Saturday, November 26, 2022).  I NEVER received any calls from the Waukegan Auto Auction.

    B)  I emailed Waukegan Auto Auction via their website on Saturday, November 26, 2022 and received no response from them.

    C)  I continuously emailed (Sun 11/27, Wed 11/30, Thu 12/1, Mon 12/5, and Wed 12/7) Waukegan Auto Auction over the next few days asking they address the problem with me and no one contacted me back. [SEE ATTACHMENT]

    D)  The fact they lied to you shows they are covering up fault.

    E)  The black electrical tape is still on the tachometer which was their attempt to hide the 'check engine light'.  Even if they claim they did not place the tape on the tachometer, they knew it was there.  Besides, whoever placed that electrical tape, their fingerprints or DNA (most assuredly on the sticky end) will be on the tape.

    F)  I strongly believe this Waukegan Auto Auction is running a fraudulent operation.  They need to not only be investigated, but shut down!

I then emailed WAUKEGAN AUTO AUCTION numerous times and they NEVER responded. I filed a complaint with the ******** Attorney General on Monday, December 5, 2022.

    In response to the complaint filed by **** (Buyer) we have spoken to the Amir ******* two days (11/25/2022) after the purchase of the Acura MDX.  Our auction manager spoke to him in regard to an issue he had with the car and our auction manager advised the buyer (****) to bring the car in if it has an engine or transmission issue.  The vehicle was sold as-is but in good faith would help him if he had a major issue with the engine or transmission.  The buyer (****) did not bring the car back to us and did not reach back out to us to state he was coming back or keeping the car.  Paperwork has been processed to the state and **** ******* has not come back as we requested him to do if it was a major engine or transmission issue.

    In regard to complaint: 18540698

    We have contacted the buyer ********************* and started communication in regard to a resolution.  


    The vehicle purchased was sold as-is and not covered under warranty.  We offer all customers viewing times before we start the sale to inspect vehicles that will be offered for sale.


    ********************* was present at our sale November 16, November 19 and November 23 and all sales start with Waukegan Auto Auction Rules and inspection times.  The vehicle purchased was bought on November 23rd.  The vehicle purchased was available for inspection during inspection times.  ********************* purchased the vehicle as-is with all faults.  Waukegan Auto Auction does not engage in tampering with vehicles mentioned in complaint.  Waukegan Auto Auction sells vehicles that are offered from different consignors and allow for all buyers to inspect vehicles prior to purchase as vehicles. 


    In good faith we are willing to help out ********************* with his purchase.  We will need picture of current mileage on the vehicle and inspection report by Dealership that he referenced to be sent to us at ****************************** to move forward with a resolution.
