    On February 27, 2024, I sent *************************** $2000 via Zelle to take photographs to assist in an alimony elimination case. Despite asking 3x for his hourly rate, ****** just kept insisting he could do the job (taking photos for 7 mornings to confirm what I already know is occuring) for $2,000 total and not being transparent about his rates. He insisted he be paid via Zelle, which I've since learned offers no consumer protection.The first day he arrived late and missed capturing the needed photos. It was at this time that he finally confessed his hourly rate was $150-185.hr plus mileage. Doing simple math, I already knew he wasn't able to get the proof needed for the negotiated rate and grew concerned. I called him and had a discussion with him. I informed him he needed to be there earlier in the day.The next day he got the needed evidence for one day. The next day, only after my contacting him, he confessed he didn't even go to collect evidence. In the first 2 days, he had already burned through half my money by my estimate and was already failing miserably at doing the requested job. At this point, I told him I wanted my money refunded. He refused to do so. He made excuses for his deceit and thievery.I told him, minimum, I want my remaining unspent money back and that it was the only ethical thing for him to do. His response was "So *** me".****************** lied to get the job. He lied about the cost. He lied about doing the job in the way requested. He stole my money and I've gotten no value out of his services whatsoever. I now request your assistance in getting my money back from this con man.
