    I hired **** Banda d/b/a Banda Handyman Services, LLC on June 20, 2023 to paint 4 2nd floor porches on June 20, 2023, and paid him $900. He completed 3, and promised to return to finish. He has refused to return, and now ignores phone calls, emails, and text messages. His Business's ******** registered Agent contact information is furnished, Secretary of State file #********, along with email address and phone number for **** Banda. The *** is a going concern which filed its most recent annual report.

    Mr. ********************** a representative of ************** ******************** hired Banda Handyman Services to paint the outside of four (4) townhouse units.  The work for each unit was to include sanding and painting two columns and wood framework at the front of each unit, and sanding and painting of the back balcony patio of each unit as well.  The amount agreed upon was $1200.

    - Banda Handyman Services purchased paint and other supplies for the entire project. 
    - Banda Handyman Services completed the full work on and the front portion of all four (4) units, and full work on three (3) of the four (4) balcony porches, .
    - Banda Handyman Services obtained balcony access through three (3) homes, which was granted by the homeowners. 
    - The fourth homeowner denied Banda Handyman Services access to the balcony patio through the home, so the work on that balcony patio was not completed.

    At the end of the work day, ************** ******************** paid Banda Handyman Services 3/4 of the agreed amount for a total of $900 - which did not cover the cost of the completed work and the cost of supplies purchased.
    - Banda Handyman Services called **************, from ********************* ******************** a number of times over the next days, in hopes of recuperating additional payment to cover the cost of supplies and work done, however ************** did not answer his phone.
    - When ************** finally called back, he was contemptuous to the Banda Handyman Services representative.

    After the disrespectful and aggressive communication by **************, Banda Handyman Services determined it was in its best interest to cut losses and cut ties with ************** ********************.

    Banda Handyman Services wholeheartedly disagrees with the disputed amount of $900. If anything, ************** ******************** owes Banda Handyman Services $150 to cover the cost of work done and supplies purchased.

    Banda Handyman Services has dozens of excellent reviews on Next Door and has close to a 97% rate of return customers, and the vast majority of our customers choose to recommend our services to friends and neighbors.

    I am rejecting this response because: **** Banda unilaterally altered the contract, refusing to use a ladder, as agreed, and insisting upon indoor access thru bedrooms. One resident, an elderly lady, was not able to accommodate  this demand on short notice. **** Banda promised to return to finish the job, thus inducing me to make part payment, although the agreement was payment only upon completion. His wife called the next day, accusing me, in strident and abrasive language, of not paying in full. After I explained ****'s changing contract terms, she settled down and said that would be "different" if true. Thereafter, they refused my calls. At no time did I "refuse" their calls. Rather, I tried many times to call them. We want the job finished, and are wiling to pay $300 after the last porch is finished (about a one hour job.) It is the street-facing porch, the most important part of the project. **** was asked in writing if he carried ********* compensation, and he misrepresented that he did, while his carrier denied he had coverage. He does business from an unmarked van,  gives no postal address on his business card, and gives a different name in reply to this complaint. He asks that checks be made out to him personally, so he can evade taxes on the **** I ask leave to submit later my text conversations with Banda to be added to this complaint. A complaint with ******** Attorney general was filed, at your suggestion, and online reference sites will be accessed if this is not promptly settled.
