My daughter recently attended prom at this venue. She has celiac disease and requires a gluten-free diet. I spoke with ********* ahead of time and the coordinator at the high school to make sure that my daughter would be served a delicious safe meal like everybody else. ********* assured me that my daughter would be given, chicken breast, vegetables and gluten-free pasta. And ice cream. This was only after she told me that my daughter would be given gluten-free pasta and vegetables and a fruit cup. I had to ask her to put protein in the meal. And she had to check with the chef to be able to put in a chicken breast. I also had to ask her to ask the chef about letting my daughter have ice cream like everybody else and checking the carton to be sure it was gluten-free. It was. When it was time for dinner at prom, my daughter was given a plate full of zucchini and a plain chicken breast. No pasta. She texted me and I texted the coordinator with the high school and told her that my daughters meal was incorrect. ********* was there. And she had to go check her email to see what meal we agreed upon. Meanwhile, my daughter sitting there not eating while everyone else around her is. She was eventually brought out a plate of gluten-free pasta. That was completely plain cold and slightly hard. She took a couple of bites, but it was so disgusting that she couldnt eat it. I would like to be compensated for her meal. Thats all I want. We paid money for her to have a meal just like everybody else did. And she was not even given what she was promised. In addition to this, somebody came up to her table and was pointing to a piece of paper, asking her if she could have the ice cream. This was embarrassing for her and we had already discussed ahead of time that yes the ice cream is safe. So why was somebody coming to her table asking her if she can have ice cream? Its unacceptable. Her disease is a disability. Protected by the **** This should not have happened.
