We signed our daughter up for driving lessons through Midwest driving school. Had nothing but issues with them. You have to schedule a drive a drive time which was almost impossible. Six months after She completed the course we went to the dmv and the state didnt have a certificate of course completion. Needless to say she didnt get her road test on her 16th birthday. I called the owner and he said it was up to my 15 year old daughter to check if he submitted the paperwork. Is this even real? A business owner is expecting a 15 year old to do his job for him. Absolutely infuriating. Businesses like this shouldnt be allowed to operate in the state of ********.

      Subject: Response to Complaint #********

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Midwest Five Star Driving School values every students and parents experience and strives to provide professional and reliable service at all times. We understood your frustration regarding the scheduling challenges and the issue with the certificate of course completion. We take these concerns seriously and would like to address them thoroughly. In regards to the complaint ******** submitted on 11/21/2024, Midwest Five Star Driving School rejects the disputed settlement due to all services rendered.

      1. Scheduling Challenges
Throughout your daughter's enrollment, our school made significant efforts to accommodate your scheduling needs. While other families in the same cohort successfully utilized our online system to schedule drive times, you reported difficulties with this process. In response, our staff provided direct assistance over the phone and made special accommodations to ensure your daughter could complete her driving sessions in a timely manner. These actions were beyond our standard procedures and demonstrate our commitment to supporting our students and their families.

      2. Certificate of Course Completion
We apologize for the clerical error that resulted in the delay of your daughter's certificate submission to the Illinois Secretary of State. While our standard practice includes submitting all required documentation promptly, it is also recommended that families verify the certificate's status through the link provided during the final stages of instruction. This step is designed to avoid delays like the one experienced here. Once this issue was brought to our attention, we promptly addressed it to ensure your daughters documentation was correctly submitted. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused regarding her ability to take her road test as planned.

      3. Communication
On November 21, 2024, we received multiple phone calls from both parents concerning this matter. During these interactions, our staff was subjected to profane language, derogatory remarks, and explicit threats to close our business operations. We maintain a zero-tolerance stance toward abusive behavior directed at our employees and business. This type of communication not only impedes constructive dialogue but also obstructs our ability to effectively resolve client concerns.

We consider this matter addressed and resolved based on the actions taken.

      Sincerely,
      Midwest Five Star Driving School
