      I'm the executor of my mother's estate. She died at Hearthstone Manor on May 13th 2023. I accidentally paid her last bill to the nursing home twice. I realized it shortly after I paid it and started making phone calls to get a refund but was never able to get them to send me the money. The amount was *******.

      I am POA for my mother *************************** who lived at ***************. She vacated her garden home at Woodstock Christian Life Services DBA Hearthstone Communities 9/30/23. In her contract, she is supposed to receive 80% of her entrance fee to be refunded which equates to $100,000. Pursuant to Section 7.3.1 of Hearthstone Communities Garden Homes Agreement Dated March 29, 2017. We hired an attorney who sent 2 certified letters to Woodstock Christian Life Services in Woodstock *************************************** in *****, **. We have not received a response. The first letter was sent 9/12/23 & the second October 30, 2023. It is public information that they have not paid property taxes, cut services & not refunding money according to the Woodstock Independent article on August 22, 2023. Due to this, my mother is exasperated by this recent trauma. Her chronic illness of ******************** has escalated. My mother has frequent panic attacks, significant insomnia, struggling with decision making which sometimes puts her at a risk of ******************* to calm herself & sit still. She has been moved from independent living to assisted at her new location in ****** **.Woodstock Christian Life Services DBA Hearthstone Communities is still taking peoples money.
