On June 28, 2024, I purchased a pair of ReSound Nexia 9 hearing aids online from HearSource for $3,858.00, and charged them to my ***** ********** Card. HearSource advertized a 45-day free trial period to evaluate the hearing aids, with a full refund if returned within that 45-day period. I received the hearing aids on July 9, 2024.On or about July 31, the right hearing aid broke and stopped working. I mailed it to HearSource on Aug. 2 for warranty repair/replacement ( I did not receive its replacement until Aug. 24). On Aug 12, I called HearSource and spoke to ***. I told *** that since the end of the 45-day trial period was close at hand, and since I had not been able to adequately evaluate the hearing aids, I either needed an extension of the trial period or to return the product to HearSource. *** told me that HearSource could not extend the trial period, but that ReSound might do so if I contacted them directly. On Aug 13 I emailed ReSound customer service and requested an extension of the 45-day trial period. On Aug. 15 I received a reply from ********* *. at Resound customer service confirming that my trial period had been extended to Sept. 29 (ReSound extended a second time to Oct. 29, due to lack of resolution with HearSource)I ultimately decided to return them to HearSource for a refund. I called HearSource on Sept. 27 to arrange for their return. The woman I spoke to refused to accept ReSounds extension of my trial period and refused to accept the return as it was past the original 45-day period.Following that refusal, I contacted ********* *. at Resound customer service for help in getting ********************** to honor the extension, accept my return, and credit my **** Card. In this email string, ********* *. repeatedly assured me that ReSound would contact HearSource and sort the issue out with them. HearSource claimed twice that ******* had not contacted them, and refused to accept my return. I returned the hearing aids to HearSource on Oct. 25.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/07/2024

I am supplementing my complaint with photographic evidence that HearSource refused delivery of
my return that I made within the time limit extended by ReSound.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 12/03/2024

HearSource has not responded to me either concerning my complaint.

I learned from my bank about ****s 120-day chargeback rule, and it occurred to me that HearSource and ReSound were working in tandem to stall me until that 120-day limit had passed.

Thank you for trying to contact HearSource and resolve this dispute for me. I will let **** know about HearSources refusal to respond to BBB.
