On October 12 my wife took her car to Meineke for an oil change and paid almost $100. Fast forward to October 31 when she was driving and the car started overheating. Come to find out her coolant was low. Meineke says they topped off of the fluids but that cant be with her coolant being low. And, no, she does not have a leak because she took it to a mechanic who did not find one.Additionally, her car is leaking oil and has a burnt oil smell. Come to find out she has an oil drip pan leak which they discovered during the oil change but did not tell her about it.When she asked about it, the worker told her she should sell her car.It is going to cost about $500 to fix. I think the store should pay for the repairs.

I have attached a copy of the inspection. The severe oil link is noted that the customer was made aware of. She brought it back and customer was asked to make an appointment for us to look at it because we were not able to that day. Customer left without making and appointment, did not call to make an appointment, and has not returned to the shop.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is not the paperwork that the Meineke provided my spouse. The paperwork she received says nothing about an oil leak. She also was never informed verbally of an oil leak until 2 days later when she took it back to Meineke after smelling a bad burnt oil odor.

The oil leak has nothing to with us. It was all documented, noted on the ticket. This is a common problem with type of vehicle. ******** also said that she bought parts off of Amazon and had her mechanic in *********** install them for her. When at the shop this week she called him in front of our service manager. We have multiple witnesses and there is nothing further we can do at this point. We did not manufacture the vehicle nor purchase the vehicle.Business Response
