      Total spent for Deposit/Load/Storage/Unload- $4,919.01 Dates of service- 10/07/2024 & 10/13/2024 They gave a quote, and the final bill did not come anywhere close to what was agreed. Neither was the service. They promised 4 movers and I only had 2 most of the time and they charged me for 3. Then they showed up with a truck full of someone else's stuff and had to leave to go empty it. This caused them to work more slowly so they could end up charging me more. They did not even complete the job either. The loaded up 2 trucks but left stuff for me to haul. The service promised was to move everything in the entire home.They broke a lot of furniture that I estimate to cost about $1,500. They refuse to pay for any of those items or give any refund. They did offer to come repair items but most of them are not repairable. They also refuse to acknowledge the poor service provided and the blatant disrespect. I don't trust them based on the service that was provided so I absolutely will not have them back at my house handling my things again.The amount of money I paid should have covered any and all troubles and struggles with moving. This was not the case. It's been a nightmare. They should not even be allowed to conduct business in this manner and hold people hostage based on their fraud service.I have pictures of most of the damaged items, but I cannot attach them to this report.

      Hello,

      We have been trying to work with **** to remedy any issues with his move, even outside of our terms and conditions and policies. He has been very unwilling to accept any offers we have made unfortunately. While we did provide a low-end and high-end estimate for our hourly moving services, services which are charged by the hour, the original request and estimates were based on transporting the items from the origin address to the destination address. **** had some issues with closing on his new home and last minute needed us to store these items for him. This roughly doubles the cost of the move as the items are being handled twice. Written estimates were not provided for the time needed to unload and reload from storage, plus drive 30 minutes each way to our facility as this was requested on the day of the move. 

      Following the move **** had reached out about 3-4 items having some damage to them. These damages were quite small per piece, and even given our coverage options there are certain limitations for coverage for items that are self packed, unpacked when our packing services were not provided, particle board furniture, etc. Even given these limitations, we have offered to have our team repair all of these at no cost to the customer. When presented with this offer and others, **** has only been combative and frankly a bit insulting to our team. We would really love to work with ****, amicably, to remedy any issues with his move but have not been given the opportunity yet to do so.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

      Their response is exactly why I would not want them back at my house and around my things.

       First, those 3-4 items turned into a dozen items. They don't care and want to write it off. Their "fixes" do not account for the terrible service and troubles they have caused.

      Second, the issue with estimates was regarding the lack of promised manpower. Originally it was for 4 movers. Most of the day there were only 2 guys at my house. The other 2 were unloading a truck that had someone else's furniture in it. That should not be my responsibility nor the reason I did not get the service I had expected. They will spin it however they want to justify their actions. They also will dance around issues such as this matter to avoid accountability.

      Third, I am very upset with the complete disregard and disrespect from this company. But, I have been truthful in my statements and concerns and I have not been "combative" in any way as they state. Clearly, they need new management because whoever is running this business does not know how to support the customer. The scheduling issues are more proof to this. Honestly, whoever is responding should be evaluated for *********************************. I refuse to work with anyone on a matter that they caused but portray me to be the problem. 

      In summary, they set expectations for a service that they clearly cannot provide effectively, then they attack the customer by explaining why they're wrong even when legitimate concerns are brought up. This is toxic behavior and I have zero tolerance for it.

      I paid the company on 6-30-23 to move my items from my home to a storage unit which was only a 5 minute drive . I was quoted a price of ******* . When I received the bill I was charged 700. The movers were informed by the storage unit manager to let me know the unit would possibly need to be upgraded in size before trying to force all of my items into the storage. They carelessly three items into the unit unsafely and in any manner . Things were stacked unstable, way too high for safety. And several of my items and furniture was damaged. I submitted a complaint with photos and the refused to pay for damages or refund and of my money. I had to pay for an additional unit to move my items and pay two more movers to properly move the items and still have items with damaged because college movers refused to pay.

      Hello,

      Unfortunately, there were no claims that were within our policies, or even outside of our policies that we could reasonably justify any of the claims made. The customer had reserved a storage unit with a self storage company that was large enough to accommodate all of her items if packed tightly. The team did so and was able to load all of the items into the unit without any issues or complaints from the customer. Five days after the move the customer went back to the storage unit to retrieve some items and became frustrated at how full the unit was given the size of the storage unit and volume of items that had to be placed inside. She was not happy there was not a walkway created inside the unit so she could retrieve items easily, but this was not possible for our team to create with the amount that needed placed inside. No items were damaged during the move or unloading process, but may have been damaged days later when the contents were rearranged by the customer.
