  We got behind on a payment and American Rental of Columbus sent one of their employees to our home. He knocked on the door, then attempted to open our locked door while I was home alone. He was not wearing a uniform nor driving a company truck. My husband called corporate to complain and spoke to ***********************. ****** was more annoyed that we were complaining about the employee. And then asked why I didnt speak to him through the door. I dont know many females that would talk to a large male trying to enter their home unlawfully. This place is ridiculous and did not care how it made me feel whatsoever. Stay far away from this company!

  This place need to learn to be professional. My daughter has major back surgery and has been unable to work. They tried to keep up on payments and they were told they owe over 400 dollars when they only owed a hundred and something after their last payment not 3 weeks before. They pay every 2 weeks. They claimed it was all interest. So they chose to give the property back which was in a storage shed. No times were given just a day. They call and stay lying saying they have a time and if they weren't there the police would be called. I tried to call them to help resolve the situation and they continued to hang up on me. This is no way to conduct a business. I agree they were behind by less than half of what they were told however and they were trying to give the appliance back because of the financial situation. Why be such a jerk about it and not work with the customer. Really bad business to rent from unless you want to be over charged, harassed and belittled on a weekly basis.

  I am so sick and tired of getting a message on Friday saying I need to pay then not even 2 hours later getting a reminder some of us have jobs that we cant have our phone out at!!!! Then I get messages threatening me with legal action 2 hours after I paid the bill. I got off work at 5pm and paid at 5:07 literally in my car in the parking lot. Then at 7:01 I got a message threatening me with legal action for a $40 payment that I had paid 2 hours prior. No phone call no nothing just a threat of legal action and picking my item up because I broke a promise just because it was your end of day didnt mean it was mine. Oh and the district supervisor does NOTHING to help. Period. Do better. FYI I have the text confirmation of my payment and all text messages with the legal threats the supervisor basically says if you dont like these policies then leave. He also says he doesnt have a boss that can contact anyone. So I guess hes the owner. Ridiculous!!!

  Hi friends. We need to have a talk about how a grown man insulted my child with a disability, and got a slap on the wrist. I will insert my sisters words that she wrote for me as I was in tears about the situation that happen! We called the *** of American Rental, and he apologized, and said he will call us back with what action he would take to handle the matter. Well he never called, so we called him! And all he said is that I talked to ***** and he said he was sorry. I told him not to do it again. That was it! That was all we got from the *** of a 100million dollar company, but never anything from the ***** the one who insulted my kid with a disability. So now Im ready to raise h*** Here is what happened. I have never been so ****** at management as i am with American Rental in Rensselaer. My sister, her ************ 4 year old nephew went in just looking at new couch for the extra suite they have in their home, when the manager comes up and instantly is rude. Asking personal questions which they were answering but still wanted to look around for a bit before deciding if they saw anything theyd actually want. ****** (my nephew) has sensoring processing disorder, speech impediment & suspected autism, is the sweetest kid youd ever meet, and has come so far with wanting to talk to strangers and getting out of his element - proceeds to talk to the manager *****- when all the sudden ***** tells ****** hes talking to much, and starts waving his hands in ****** face in a mocking manner. ****** being a kid, continues to try and talk to the man and ***** once again is **** and tells ****** he doesnt even know how to enunciate his words and proceeds to talk gibberish to him, told him to shut up that he wasnt a teacher and mock him again. IF THAT WASNT THE ICING ON ******************** asks my sister if ****** was her only child, she says yes and he says thank god. My sister has PCOS and has a hard time conceiving, its super inappropriate thing to say to

  This store is awesome, they go out of their way to explain the agreement , and help me get what Im looking for. I have been other places but have NEVER received the personal attention I get grime this place!!!
