I purchased a 12 gauge ********, over/under shotgun from premier arms, on September 22, **** for $1115.96. I specifically asked on arrival to premier arms for a ***** shotgun. I was advised to purchase the above aforementioned shotgun. The shotgun I purchased from premier was labeled on the tag as a ***** shotgun, with the two ******** bored out specifically for *****. I brought this shotgun I purchased to another gun dealer, to where I was advised the ******** were not bored for *****, plus the barrels were shorter than the recommended length of 26 inches and also is outfitted with a rifle buttstock and not a shotgun buttstock. I then contacted premier arms and spoke with the individual on the phone who personally recommended this shotgun for ***** shooting via phone, and his exact response was, oh well, I was just going by what was labeled on the tag attached to the the shotgun. He also advised his boss labels the items for sale and has nothing to do with how the items for sale are labeled. I asked for a refund over the phone and was advised all purchases on used firearms are non-refundable.

    ***************,

The following is in response to this complaint.   I will address the customers concerns line by line and provide additional information.

Customer stated - I purchased a 12 gauge ********,over/under shotgun from premier arms, on September 22, **** for $1115.96. I specifically asked on arrival to premier arms for a ***** shotgun. I was advised to purchase the above aforementioned shotgun.  This is correct.  This customer ask for a shotgun that could be used to shoot ***** and was shown, and purchased, a ******** Citori 12 Ga.

Customer stated The shotgun I purchased from premier was labeled on the tag as a ***** shotgun, with the two ******** bored out specifically for *****.  The tag was NOT labeled as a ***** shotgun. The tag did have the chokes for the barrels Mod/Skeet written on it noting that this shotgun has a modified and ***** choked barrel.

Customer stated I brought this shotgun I purchased to another gun dealer, to where I was advised the ******** were not bored for *****,   The two chokes mentioned above, modified and *****, are the generally acceptable chokes for a ***** shotgun.  When shooting *****, the low house is the closest to the shooter and the ***** choke, which has a .005-inch constriction over an open cylinder (unrestricted) bore, allows for maximum shot dispersion for the close house.  The modified choke is for the high house, which is located further away and the modified choke, which has a .020-inch constriction over a cylinder bore, which keeps a similar shot density at the longer distance.

Customer stated - plus the barrels were shorter than the recommended length of 26 inches  The barrels on this shotgun are 26 inches in length.

Customer stated and also is outfitted with a rifle buttstock and not a shotgun buttstock.  The way the action on a shotgun and a rifle differs and the way a stock mounts in general will not allow a rifle and a shotgun buttstock to interchange.

Customer stated I then contacted ********************** and spoke with the individual on the phone who personally recommended this shotgun for ***** shooting via phone, and his exact response was, oh well, I was just going by what was labeled on the tag attached to the the shotgun. He also advised his boss labels the items for sale and has nothing to do with how the items for sale are labeled.  This customer did call.  During this phone conversation he stated that the other gun dealer he took it to, (****************), stated that one of the barrels was for shooting slugs (commonly used for deer hunting) and one for shot.  In 22 years of business, I have never heard something so factually incorrect. This makes me question any information provided by this other dealer to this customer.  My staffer did say that the information on the tag was descriptive of the shotgun the customer bought, which it is, but said it in a factual manner without the oh well.  This staffer is an avid shotgun shooter and is very familiar with what shotguns are good for what purposes and, with this transaction, this customer was sold what he ask for.

Customer stated I asked for a refund over the phone and was advised all purchases on used firearms are non-refundable.  This is correct.  As signage in the store, and the sales invoice states, all firearm sales are final. Used firearms are warranted for 30-days against defect.

This customer failed to mention that during the conversation he had with my staffer he was upset and continually used the **word in the conversation.  I do not allow my staff to be cussed at, this customer was told that, and we had to end the call (hang up on him) due to the verbal abuse he was directing towards my staff.
