They treat you as an outsider when you are a contractor. They steal your money only to blame it on a computer glitch and say everything looks fine. But only after you bring up your sub $100 paycheck. If you dont say anything they definitely wont. They will tell you they dont owe you anything, and show you a pay stub with just a regular pay and supplemental pay. But there is no breakdown of what the supplemental is for. If you start to have any sort of trouble, you get an Im sorry to hear that. Then your left to figure out what to do. They will also be giving what work you could do away to anyone who will take it. This leads to poor customer service and a way over worked and under appreciated contractor. I hope you dont like your car if you want to work here.

If I could zero stars I would. This company has no accountability. They pass the buck from person to person. No one will accept responsibility for an issue on their end. They are fine until there is a problem. They are the ones doing the inspections, not me. They should have to stand behind their own mistakes. They do NOT. It is very frustrating in trying to resolve an arbitration issue. I have dealt with them for 6 years and this time was the last straw. I had 3 vehicles with arbitration issues because of their inability to disclose over $10,000 in issues.

I have been using what was previously known as BacklotCars for a little over four years..now known as OPENLANE. Ive bought and sold a decent amount of vehicles through them for our used car dealership. 99% of my dealings with them throughout those years have went well. Thorough inspections and exceptional arbitration claims. Getting to the point of this one star review..the most recent vehicle I had purchased through them had been delivered inoperable. At the time of inspection and bidding process this was a running and operating vehicle. OPENLANEs policy states that they GUARANTEE VEHICLE OPERATION. It ended up being a water in fuel issue causing a no start. The arbitration employee states that fuel issues are not covered. REGARDLESS..OPENLANE guarantees an operable vehicle. With a non-operational vehicle I am further unable to inspect things that are supposed to be guaranteed.I hate to leave a one star review being Ive had good past experiences but this is total bad business. I couldnt imagine me selling a car to a customerstating that its in running order and when they get it the vehicle is inoperable and tell them to stick it where the sun doesnt shine. Also *********************** lll in arbitration handled the case horribly as well. He is totally sarcastic and acts like he owns the company. Whenever I had asked for a manager he repeatedly stated there is no one else.

Arbitration process is terrible. They just screwed me on a 2019 Charger engine. Had me diagnose it at 3 different repair facilities including 2 dealerships. The 3rd dealership was very clear that the engine required replacement. The Arbitration manager ******** would only pay for a cam and lifters. **** the director was just as incompetent. ******** states engine replacement and attached is a bulletin straight from Dodge but Openlane decided they can now decide what requires replacement. Not the manufacturer. Openlane screwed me for over $3000 this week
